looks like someone can't come up with the money........awwwwwwwwww

"Donald Trump’s lawyers told a New York appellate court Wednesday that he’s prepared to post a $100 million bond to halt collection of his staggering civil fraud penalty, arguing that provisions of the verdict make it impossible for the former president to secure a bond for the full amount. "

"provisions of the verdict make it impossible to secure a bond for the full amount"......i wonder why.....maybe cause he's been banned from doing buisness in NY and everyone knows it

anywho, orange numb nut filed a close to 1800 page of whining to the courts....

personally he should give that 100 mil to carroll, since that pretty close to what he owes her.....and might owe her again if he keeps his shit up.....

i can the AG in this fraud case putting her hands together rubbing them, and saying " you know Trump tower would look good as a migrant center, with judges, lawyers and a clinic to boot"

This never ends well.

Judge in Trump civil fraud case receives envelope with white powder
The judge who oversaw former President Trump’s civil fraud case received an envelope with white powder Wednesday morning, prompting an emergency response to the downtown Manhattan courthouse, according to court officials.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the New York County Courthouse, where court staff opened an envelope addressed to Judge Arthur Engoron that contained a white powdery substance, court spokesperson Al Baker confirmed to The Hill.

Authorities closed the office where the letter was opened and the affected staff were isolated until preliminary testing showed the substance was nonhazardous, Baker added.

“Justice Engoron had no exposure to the letter or the powdery substance,” he said. “The Court remained open. The matter is under investigation by law enforcement.”

The New York Police Department confirmed its 5th Precinct responded to the incident after a 911 call came in for a suspicious powder that fell onto a court officer’s pants. Police did not confirm Engoron was the named recipient of the letter.

Engoron was subject to multiple threats around the time of Trump’s civil fraud trial, including a bomb threat at his home in Long Island last month. Additional security was added out of an abundance of caution following the threat.

Wednesday’s incident comes weeks after Engoron ordered Trump to pay nearly $355 million — plus interest — in penalties after concluding he conspired to alter his net worth to receive tax and insurance benefits.

The total judgment against Trump, which climbs nearly $112,000 in interest each day he doesn’t pay it, now amounts to more than $454 million.

Supreme Court to decide Trump immunity claim, further delaying election subversion trial
The Supreme Court agreed Wednesday to decide whether Donald Trump may claim immunity in special counsel Jack Smith’s election subversion case, adding another explosive appeal from the former president to its docket and further delaying his federal trial.

This story is breaking and will be updated.

SCOTUS is slow walking this. The US public deserves to have this trial finished before the election heads into its last leg. Well, now it seems we won't.

The trial judge estimates it will take 88 days pre-trial plus 3 months to complete the trial against Trump for his actions to interfere with the elections. Also, the court is accepting Trump's word that conspiring to over throw the election was an official act. "Alleged official act" is what it's called in the court's statement.

The mind boggles at the very notion.

we as people really might have to keep him out of that office at the election first

if my whiskers are right, i think there is an indictment for Ginni Thomas in there some where, if it is there, Jack should drop that right now and really shake up the SCOTUS

We haven't had time to think this over. My first reaction is to say, fine. Biden says he prefers to beat Trump in an election. Then he can be hung, drawn, quartered and his remains are sent to the four quarters of the realm. It's been fucking obvious the whole time what Trump has done and what he's doing to avoid punishment for his many crimes. We've seen some good judges who didn't let him get away with it and some bad. Too many judges on the SCOTUS fall in the bad category. That court needs an enema.

The Federalist Society certainly knew what they were doing, and playing a very long game. They’ve been Gríma Wormtongue in the ear of every Republican president since at least Reagan.

Now they have their chessmen in place for the end game — and with the one institution in our Federal government with complete lifetime immunity! — to put paid to that pesky woke liberal Constitution and enable minority rule.

I fully expect this court to revisit Brown v. Board of Education.

I think the delay in acting on the case might have been the sane and the insane members of the court were at odds and did some haggling until they came to an agreement. Most likely the insane floated a position the sane ones could not stomach and decided to take the case. Even if Trump looses it he still wins more delays.

its insane how this government system allows such loopholes to cement such obvious corruption in place, no person should ever be able to have that right to know they can’t be taken out of power exp if proven using their power and will for this position wrongly. exp those judges , really making us as a nation look so weak and easily compromised. Not like this is the first time, history shows that indeed

The magic carpet ride continues, flipped narrative in GA,SCOTUS doing thei predictable thing,FKN ridiculous, but no surprise,we better take care of business at the ballot box. It's been vividly apparent that the CKsucker will pull any and all levers for his benefit (country be damned)and that any American voter w/a shred of objectivity should be so sickened by this unprecedented FKN circus to flush this overfilled toilet once and for all come Nov.:finger:>:(:finger:>:(
