I ask because both my neighbors cats hunted them and kept the numbers way down. They would come home almost daily with a chipmunk in their mouths. But I have not seen the cats in about 1 year and with them not around, the chipmunk population has been increasing. There are so many buzzing around here that they are fighting each other for the good holes in the ground or prime spots in the woodpile.

I've seen the little buggers chasing each other around the porch then scrapping at my basement door three feet away.

Wasn't sure if you have your chipmunks doing shit like that.

No, there's only a few in my yard. There's other cats in the neighborhood, just not around my house. Until now dum dum dummmmm

Mornin....32F....heading to 50 or so. Maybe a shot of moisture tonight. We will see. We're already working in the wildflower/orchard... and we cleaned/moved plants around in the dome to prep for the new lights coming tomorrow. Everything is going nutz. Gonna be interesting to baby it all
and see how badly we're crunched/crowded until it can all go outside. It all looks so tame until you start up-potting it all...LOL

If something is getting into your car you probably eat in it or left food in there. Wires are not on the diet. They don't even use it for their burrows. Mice chew on them though. My mouse problem stopped after I started feeding the chipmunks. I've found mice with their heads cracked open. They just eat the brain.

Could be mice...but I don't see mice sitting on my truck tire right where they try to get inside. Air filter gets munched as well. Stuck hardwire cloth in the vents and it's helped. Also helps when my buddy brings his dachshund over. She got 5 in one day last Summer.

We deal with the mice with one of these.

Had a few squirrels but haven't seen em recently. Might be that mountain lion that got the neighbors goose a few weeks ago.

It's a tough life out there...

Mouse repellant that actually works.
I learned this from a RVer...
Mice don't like spicy scents, IE peppermint etc....She said to put Cloves (The spice you use on an Easter Ham) in small
Muslim bags and put them around the camper.
Expensive, this spice is, (at the supermarket) but you can buy bulk 1LBS for cheap.
I did this with My boat and snowmobile trailer and it worked for me!......
Smells nice too.

When I was without cats for a few weeks (nocturnal predation), mice population grew. That pail/water/ramp setup was installed temporarily. Whole oats on the ramp was much more successful than nut butter IME.

Thnx for the tip.
We sprinkled cayenne pepper around the trailer a few times last year to keep the rodents away.

The thing about mice is that they are super adaptable creatures. Once they get used to the smell or noise (such as in plug in/sonic devices)...whatever it is...they ignore it. We were given a package of liddle bags of sawdust that smell like pine/conifer that are widely sold in ranch stores/etc...and it worked for a bit...but one day I found a nest and the entire thing was made from those sawdust pellets...LOL. The spinner works the best though... cus you know they aren't coming back.

Oh man I battled mice in my one jeep for a few years. Tried that. Poison was the only thing that worked.

Now I don't have a problem. Saw 2 mice this entire season.
