Made me think of soapmaking at times....

Does most soapmaking still use lye? I just had my first experience working with it while making my own century eggs. The warnings on the stuff are crazy

Some do...some don't. We've done the cold process/lye mix in the past but now cheat and buy various melt and pour soap bases and dose em all up with stanky goodness.

Yeah. Lye is some serious shit. I have one of the brute trash cans behind my barn filled with it to strip cast iron cookware. Always a good time when you splash a little bit on yourself and you don't realize it in time to rinse it off. Lol

I use an air fryer and make it really crispy, and high brain goes "crispy food eat" it's dangerous... Air fryer is my new favorite toy for sure.

Planted just about 170 seeds today. Tomatoes, peppers, onions, and lots of leafy greens. Still so much to go.

I need one. The last one sent molten sparks that blistered my formica. All the little brown spots are literally molten formica. Note the radiating pattern. I looked downrange but never found the shrapnel.

Reminds me of 35% h202. I used to dose my rezes with it, and a drip or two would sometimes splash onto my hand or wrist. I didn't notice until the burn set in, and by the time I noticed to wash it off, I had a white burn stain there. It can be dangerous for stoners to grow weed
