Not sure if they can cause necrosis, as I’ve had thrips once, and didn’t notice it get that bad. If you’re vegging toss some DE all over the plant. (Diatomaceous earth)I do have mild thrip damage on all my plants, I spray weekly. But that damage mostly looks like small white dots. Can thrips also cause necrosis where the leaves die, have spots, brown edges, etc?
My thrip damage on some leaves looks like this example (From Google)

I haven't found a good way to apply DE, I do have a bunch of powder, but it seems easier to spray with fatty acids, they should kill thrips just as effectively. Sometimes it's just hard to hit the undersides of all the leaves I guess. Not sure if they can cause necrosis, as I’ve had thrips once, and didn’t notice it get that bad. I'm using bio bizz light mix amended with perlite and worm castings. I'd be surprised if it was a PH issue, but I guess I'll have to test runoff the next time I water. I've been using the same PH level in my water for several months now. Between 6 and 7, about 6.5 on average. I did check runoff a few months ago and it seemed fine, so I hope you're wrongI dunno what your medium is but my two cents..lol
High ph causing potassium to lock out. Twisty ph leaf is usually ph to high. Which can lock out potassium..discolored leaf..brown edges..poor leaf health.
I hope I am too.. deficiencies suck.I'm using bio bizz light mix amended with perlite and worm castings. Could it be a mix of calmag def + wind damage?
Will do! Do you have any idea what it might be?Defo not cal or mag deficiencies, I would pull them off, just breeding grounds for fungus now.
Gotcha, appreciate the info, even if it happens to be something else entirely.I hope I am too.. deficiencies suck.
Potassium usually attacks the edges. Mag yellows leaf and leaves dark veins. Calcium adds random brown spotting.
Possible insect issuesWill do! Do you have any idea what it might be?
Damn. I have no idea what it would be. I spray for most things weekly, or so I thought.Possible insect issues
