Oh shieett set dehuey to 50% its off right now and only 50 in tents. I was just over doing it 35% paranoid of mold and not being scarceful with my dry air. This may help a toooonnnnn

Yea they explained its just not the best system and we were asking for too low temps it can handle. My grow now isnt effecting it its doing a good job as is. It was however effecting it by venting out and no replacement air.

That part I dont get my mind goes blank thinking what happens in a vacuum. Like can humid aire pockets form in a vacuum? I turned all my canopy fans off its just wind burning plants. Making lower leavs fall right off.

Anyway. The part I do get is itll suck in heat through the house cracks etc. I just need to be more hands on dialing enviorment maybe get a inkbird or aci kit.

Its much better setting dehuey to 50%. 3/4 a year will be easy just block heat vent and allow grow heat to heat room. Besides I vented out since january and no issues with heat. It appearently is easier to heat a house.

Everything I rambled came up including ac systems just being finicky not much coolng power as youd expect. Id ask how to improve my grow but they dont seem to want anything to do with it or at least this new guy.

I dont think its worth the money and effort my grow is fine the house is fine I can finally rest.

Ok maybe just me he ended up calling me to talk to me. What I said basically was the answer but also that its better off in basement because heat rises. The natural coolness will absorb it faster. Not worth putting window unit.

Also suggested I flip my light schedule. Dehuey should stay in room. Open door if I can and let a natural transfer happen. But really as is everuthing is ok. Not sure why they havent explained this yet.

I was curious what todays answer would be and it was something simple but could of been said from the beginning as we thought it was still acting up.

Weird so far when dehuey fan on low it works faster and shuts off instead of set to high. Or maybe too soon to say.

Edit you think my lights are less heat output than a cfl fixture? zwhat about 1-2 in a bedroom fixture?

150w Mars hydro 120f lazer thermometer right on the diode. 95-100f on fecida lights 65w cool to the touch. One 130w flower probably a tad bit hotter and 235w dimmed to 25% cool to the touch.

Not even counting the two ornamental grow spaces with strip light and ufo and aci bar light they really dont through any heat.

I dont think itl help me to flip lights for 1 degree difference and run at night with ac off room spikes temp dehuey.

Oh wow so thread is also the generator thread. Welp yall asked about how often power goes out…

Already did this morning but kicked right back on. Wish I could say the same for thousands near by. Almost a tornado.

So ya.. Idk if climate change is real I literally heard so much from both sides Im brainwashed. But this is not a normal thing 10 years ago. And my parents say when they were young it already was so differnt.

Fuuudge this is stressful so glad I just harvested I could of let it sit. Im weary of using it cant wait till I do so Im comfortable with it. The thought of having to is freakin crazy and when half asleep I really dont feel like it.

But waking up I actually do and wouldnt mind using it anyway for personal needs. Itll happen soon just watch lmao.

Ok dehuey has to be on max again it was just almost chop which I notice rh drops they dont throw off as much.

Well its been a shit show let my clones get too big its 65rh near canopy 55 with it above canopy. Which reading is best? When they say 55-60 is ok do they mean room reading or right by the plants?

They didnt seem to do this with my 2x2 tents with it right up on the meter.

Anyway I finally found something useful for this. I got 16” hurricane blowing air out my room but no real effect.

Have it blowing in? Oof its like a giant ac unit drops temps right down.

So maybe this exausting out side setup can still be used in other months per room mates being fine with it. Or I open a window have fan blow in its essentially just like an ac unit but stronger.

Just needs be 20F below room temp thats all ac units blow out really.

But the holes in my door… What if I have a pc fan in the duct flange door vent and vent in? Have both vents vent in? I have two 6” flanges on the door. One left neutral or blow out and one in? What should I do..

Theres gotta be something in this that will work now that I tried this. Opening door alone takes too long to act and messes with rh. Reminds me sometimes it does sometimes it actually lowers rh even though its often 70 rh or higher in home.

Edit about the rh in tent. When I grab the meter by the probe area it spikes to 100% quick. So maybe its the general room/tent rh that matters and just dont over crowd. I did that before.

For any thats relevant in same situation. Its happening again, one side of room 50rh and the other 40rh. I put 16” hurricane fan to chug the dry air across the room.. 40rh both sides. From 60rh to 52 in tent.

Thats why I put so many mini fans in tent to equalize the rh but turned all off last run. Idk if its like that in a negative air pressure enviorment with plants full.

The placement of dehuey isnt the best but have furniture and tents the rooms full so its not distributing well. Im sure many in same situation. Ive done this before. I was losing control of rh over there.

Its also places there so it can auto drain. Its less in the way where its at. Where the fan is I dont really stand there but once a day to work plants.

For what its worth I didnt have to do this with negative air pressure bedroom exausting outside.

Muahaha! Upgrade from opening door and having 16” fan blow air into the room from the hallway. I already had duct flanges/covers on the door and this slapped right onto it no tape needed.

Lets see what the hvac guys say about this! The other duct is neutral theres two holes in door luckily. Which was a big pain luckily its not for nothing.

I can vent outside during winter no one cares cause scientificly or physics whatever this would be, its easier to heat than cool. Just heat the mofo up! Cooling is much more difficult.

Maaaan gtfo. A 6” clip on hurricane is NOT 300cfm is it?! My booster is 265cfm but the air in front of it is pushing waaaaay harder. Well its working to keep at 79-80f so far with AC off mostly.

Its noisy but maybe connecting a duct to it and put fan on floor will dim the sound. Roommates arent the happiest but theyre just like wtf ever about it. So am I, I normally couldnt stand temps above 75F and now Im sleeping to it.

Lots of compremise to get to this point. Whatever at least Im not dealing with bugs or mold. Success so far.

Edit I compared dba online the 16” was 33-63 and this aci booster is 35dba which it seems to be the same as the 16” fan on high. The door just acts as a acoustic and the air turbulance is why it seems louder.

The motor is like right there. Its not sealed off like a inline fan so the hum escapes a bit.

Using ducting and rest it in floor should help but if noone cares neither do I! No more temp spikes to 90F going back forth opening door with fan at random times a day.

Fan like this makes it way quieter its not bothersome now. But my pedestal fan hurricane 16” is popping. Why?! Brand new $50 and need a new one. Any suggestions?

It was helping alot. Can I still use it? Is it about to smoke? 88f 43rh that side room and 85 45rh other. It equalizes and helps this vent and ac vent (when its on) to help absorb all the heat energy.

Latest setup working. In winter I got another booster slapped on window duct fange panel to blow air in. I learned a lot about cooling during this ordeal. Duct booster dont move much air but enough to maintain 87F or lower before ac kicks on.

Can always double the cooling power by usung outside air if its at least 10F cooler. Being up north its more often than not, cooler. In winter forget about it, its literally stronger than an ac vent.

I got a new pedestal fan same brand best bang for buck despite defective units. Still can happen with the double the cost brands.

Its working a lot to the situation and part of the grow. Equalizes rh and temp across the whole room.

OH YEAH. I remember what I really came here to say. Call your city/town and ask if you can even have a gas generator running during a outage at night. These things be like 75dba.

I spent like 1k on that and pulse racing as I was finding out if you can get in trouble for noise. So lucky its considered emergancy so its not a noise complaint.

That easily could of toasted me though both in money spent and 5-0 at the door which still could happen just a thought. If live in the city. All this making me really wish I lived rural.

That and having monster outdoor plants which I heard sunlight produces more hash which is all Im after.

They flat out said Im good so thats all ill have to explain and I did everything I could to make sure. Directly to the source youd call TO complain.

The lights actually sadly do add a shit ton of heat even though theyre leds vs hps/cmh. Its the reason this thread was born. Soon as I got mars hydro its just too damn hot all the sudden which Ive gotten very used to.

Like 10-15F about as much as the dehuey. So lights on schedule is also helpful being off during sleep hours so you can at least sleep if living in grow room.

Sadly exausting out was never an option but luckily it is infastructure already in place to do what I described which helps a lot. All about getting cool air to absorb hot air to bring temps down.

I can sleep though its only 76F maybe 78 but creeps up fast as lights turn on. Then it gets up to 87F and ac brings back to 80F. Having roommates program thermostat in my favor helped.

Small room gets hot while thermostat in big open area thinks its at temp. Its programmed to go cooler at night time, the days left over heat until its gone.

Some dont have ac vent like I do. Holes in door being used so bedroom door can shut. Otherwise just get a pedastal fan and blow air into the room that actually works much better.

Can you get a minisplit for your room?

It would be real difficult to install or at least a window unit would be if thats what you mean. Thats all Ive found to be best option I asked the hvac guys, they agreed it would be better to invest in growing in the basement.

My room is jam packed and the windows open horizontally. Although now that I figured out how to yield up to 40oz with a 500-700gs PSM strain Id be willing to invest more if its even possible.

Basement is jam packed with stuff that just cant be minimized any time soon so bedroom were the cards delt. I wanted to build a workshop likely with itsown split system but oof thats far away from happening.

Might as well get everything I need and save up hard for the workshop and use that ac money towards that. 40oz is enough but fears of fire and flood and inconvenience of using a gas generator.

Those are still good reasons for the work shop with solar, more yield for hash rosin vs flower rosin and save on electric. Big far future decisions still planning through. Still wondering if I can even afford it unless I really commit for 3 yrs.

Thats crazy I just realized even if I wanted to grow in basement, I done made more flower square footage than I can make downstairs ATM with my allowed space which I do need for the pressing.

Im working on 34 square ft flower space where downstairs Id only have 20, no more reasonable space left for a tent bigger than a 2x2.

So Im using half that space to press which is really needed, then a 3x5x6 veg tent and its reservoirs which is what opens more flower space in my room.

I just didnt know how to maximize my situation until now, now that Im getting intermediate with my grow skills. Heck I was genuinely doubted I could get 16oz in the 2.5x5, I got 14 last run and 12 first try.

Thats why I like when they say mileage varies everyone is on their own journey lol.

Oh wow Ive seem those, idk how well they perform but that would probably be what would have to be used in my bedroom. Curious how it works, Id think a refrigerant line would go to the indoor unit somehow. Is it through the tubing?

Installing it would take professional help for sure, idk where the hole in the indoor/outdoor wall would go. Like I just got done rambling, it may be worth it.
