Is this a Silly Idea?

Sorry for the noob question, but I am starting my first grow, as in a started the process of germination this morning of 3 photo period gals.

My setup is a 4 by 4 by 6ft vivosun with a SF4k. I have 2 6 inch fans for air circulation, and when I get my next paycheck, an AC Infinity 6 inch cloudline lite.
I was thinking of starting with 3 5-gallon fabric pots, but was curious if it would be over ambitious to throw a smaller auto in a 3 gallon pot to eek out a little more yield. I was thinking that if space did become a problem, with about 80 days before i can expect a frost I could just move it outdoors, if needed.

As well, if you have any stubby, quick autos, I am happy to take the suggestions.

TIA

If you think the stretch from the auto will not affect the height of lamp or the power of the lamp is worth the money to shine on 1 plant full power and rest less then do it

And if the auto doesnt create shadow spots for the rest after it streches

Well photoperiod Hindu kush is pretty short and squat so I'd imagine the auto version be even more so might suit your needs

I regularly do 4 photos in a 4x4. From breaking soil, veg for 5-6 wks then flip. You may have to tie down or supercrop the tallest to break apical dominance but will work. I have done 6 with 4 wk veg and Turned out well. If you are growing hydro, limit it to 3 and could get tight. Hydro veg is explosive, and stretch has to be managed or it could get out of hand quick

I've grown photos and autos together........it's never been an issue.
I dont think it will cause problems i just think it will be bit stressful and underwhelmingfor a first time grower.
Op what you gonna do when the auto starts to flower? flip your lights for the photos and have 4 small plant plants, in that case might as well just run 4 autos. Or keep them in low light light and get a spindly weak auto. In that case your doing double the work as they will need different feed regiments. If your gonna do this i would get the photos started for about a month then plant the auto and flip your lights when the auto starts to flower,

That was not my experience but i did not by the seed was given started autos told 2 were hk and they were the larges autos ive grown. I very well have been lied too

I was thinking an 8 month veg at 16/8, too ambitious? I assumed that the auto should be about ready right before going into bloom.

What is the total finished height of a Hindu Kush? I have one going and it is in week 6 since sprout. It's a very healthy and compact plant of about 13 inches tall right now. It has started sprouting branches and shoots so I will probably take some clones from it. I'm anxious to finish this one as I love me some Hindu Kush.

I imagine the auto version of this is pretty awesome.

8 months is forever in veg. In a 5 gal grow bag your get root bound and be watering 2-3 times a day go 12-20gal if you really wanna do that. Also probably run out of space. An auto should be 75-125 days sprout to harvest depending on genetics.

Yes you can grow both....but after the 8 week veg time your auto will be in flower and the reduced light to 12/12 will definitely hurt yield. Also autos can be finicky...keep it simple first grow.
You should shoot for 18/6 light schedule instead of 16/8 for veg.

Fair doos ive ran sensis photo one a few times it was quite short who knows what ruderalis they used for the auto so maybe that's why

Under hps and two months veg about waist height or just over it's a slow vegger ime as for topping some phenos like it more than most I top most things alot but some plants in this line don't react so good the branchy ones like it the less so ones don't as much those ones left alone do better when you top those they produce two smaller horn shaped buds almost that stay smaller Vs the ones that take it well ime it's not something you see everyday

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have a question that directly relates to the thread topic.
If you have one photo and one auto, and you start the light schedule at 18/6..........theoretically they would be approximately the same size after 4 weeks.
You switch to 12/12 at 4 weeks so the photo can flower and your auto just started flowering as well.
They are both 8-10 week strains.
If they start the same size at the start of flower and they're both under the same amount of light........why wouldn't the auto yield the same as the photo?
Everyone says it will hurt the yield of the auto.........why would it be different than the photo?
Can someone explain?

Autos tend to have a bloom cycle 2-3 weeks shorter then their photo cusons. Its how ruderrails adapted to growing in high altitudes. They are accustomed to blooming during much longer light cycles to finish before the cold dark winters set in. They want a lot more photon intake. A lot of auto breaders recomend 24/7 lights on
