there are several models, one is 45W that I recall.
45W will probably work. It does look interesting but what would the benefit be from the current meta?
The controls are on the dehumidifier so I guess you would need to open the fridge every time you want to change the settings.

ahhh and another question I have 1 plant that I will put in the unit this weekend but my other two need another 10 days I would say. How would you proceed in this case? has anyone added more plants at a later stage and how do you deal with the rh setting then?

I just put my buds next to my ear and listen to the sound it makes when squishing it. If it snap, crackles and pops, it's ready. Otherwise, stick in in a jar when it feels dry and put a hygrometer on it, and if the moisture rises from 61, it's probably a little too wet still.

I would plan for a 10 day dry on the first one, get it in a jar, then cut the other plant and stick it in the ghettotrol. If you put the wet buds in with the dryer buds, the latter will likely absorb some of that moisture so you would be working against yourself there.

Have you found what are the best settings for a little bit faster dry for the first plant. I do not mind for the first one to not be perfect the other two are more important :D

i think the more you raise the temp, the faster the dry cycle... i believe cannatrol has a 4 day dry cycle with the temp in the 70s

I built my own. Couldn’t fit 3lbs in one. Doubled up 2” foam sheets to make 2x2x4’ cabinet. Used the dehu everyone has and 2 double peltier units 2x140w. Made 12 shelves with stainless mesh and plastic corners and ran INKBIRD temp/rh units with a 2circulating fans, 12v 30amp psu. First run. Working well. Thanks for all the info everyone provided.

I love it. A true diy canatrol.

Hello again guys,

I just harversted one of my plants this weekend. I have set up the Inkbird as instructed at 78% with 1% difference and lowering every day by 1%. My coller is pretty big with two paltiers inside for 35 bottles. What I am noticing is that I am not collecting as much water as you guys have mantioned. It has been 36h since the start and till now the dehumidifier has collected I would say 50ml inside the tank (I did not take my dehum apart) and there are a few drops in the channel of the cooler itself. I guess maybe that is due to the fact that material from the plant is not that much it filler only two shelves of the cooler and it has 8 in total. What do you guys think should I lower in bigger intervals?

You can dry quicker if you want, since it’s not loaded you’re not going to collect as much water, that’s not something to worry about. You can skip a few percent points, or just keep on and everything will be fine, a slow dry is not a bad thing, it’s why I built mine in the first place.
