1212 Seed Company

Another little update on our first round of testing Apples and Bananas S1 (left) and Alien Apple Breath (right). Stretch is done, Alien Apple Breath had a pretty normal ~100% stretch while Apples and Bananas had next to nothing.

Apples and Bananas S1 buds generally looking a little more compact, fatter, and leafier than the cut - with virtually the same terp profile

Alien Apple Breath - Starting to notice more of the apples and bananas influence now on the three similar expressions, mix of terps now bringing it away from the meat apple mother and somewhere new - some very pleasant nuanced aromas and great vigor.

Finally snapped a pic of the Alien Apple Breath 'outlier' pheno as well, shorter and very little branching, faster kick off to flower and much less stretch - gassier profile and heavier trich coverage it seems, but also getting shaded out by the larger plants at this point.

Power Couple #242 harvest day
- looking forward to testing an upcoming project with this lady.
Took a sample last week and here are my first impressions:
bag appeal 11 out of 10
potency on point (wrecked my friend who normally handles everything just fine lol),
yield is a little low but I underfed
The only con so far is flavor, not a lot of flavor out of the gate but I'll assume a nice cure will improve it and also that my environment plays a role, for example I know certain plants can produce better terps in soil/hps/sunlight vs LED/DWC among many other factors. That said - the upcoming project seeks to improve upon this aspect.

ALSO- I'm really digging on this Champagne Showers S1, she might even get another run and maybe a dusting of something special... stay tuned...

Lastly- maybe just another week left on this Meat Apple - Sampled this one too last week and it's pretty much a box checker.. I'll write up a more detailed report later on -

To follow up with THT's post. I currently have a PC #242 cut reversed and pollenated a few select strains. I have not been keeping up with pics because the tent is a crowded unruly tangle of leaves and branches lol. The reversed Power Couple definitely dropped pollen but not as much as we would have liked. Depending on quantity available these crosses can be limited release testers or as freebies. We will need to do our own validations of course.

Strains currently dusted by Reversed Power Couple:

Power Couple #242 (S1)
Tangie x Sour Strawberries x Power Couple #242 - fem
Apples & Bananas x Power Couple #242 - fem
Meat Apple x Power Couple #242 - fem

Redbag update-

Reversed mother is nearing the end of the pollen dump. Seeing a ton of seeds on her well as the other ladies. From where I stand Redbag is one of the best examples of a strain that performs in a 12/12 from seed environment that we have bred. Always brings a ton of flavor and potency. I Can't hype this strain up enough honestly and its a strain that will end up in rotation for head stash on a near permanent basis .

Group Shot - 12/12 from seed. Chonk!!
20250331_201511.jpg

Jetfuel Gelato x Triangle Kush - Solid performer in a 12/12 environment. Super thick, medium height and with loud terps. A little leafy to be honest but wouldn't induce a long trim jail sentence. The fems from this will be really interesting to grow and will certainly be released for giveaways and freebies with orders.

Question....
I got some freebies with an order and one is marked "Columbian Gold x Cackleberry" . Is it the same as Dirtstick or "pre Dirtstick" ?

I'm going to gift them to a co-worker who's going to use them for a first try at an outdoor grow . Nice kid , gonna give him and his girlfriend those and and unlabeled puck of 12 that came as freebies with the same order .

These are the F1's that bred the Dirt Stick line, we called this 'CoCa' and it produced several desirable expressions and one less interesting terp-wise variety with massive yields (we called this the Colombian disappointment lol) . It will do great outdoors. The more interesting expressions are compact and have dark citrus hues, its been a while but I remember that we enjoyed them all, not a bad one in the bunch.

Damn that was quick ! Appreciate the info . They aren't very well versed on growing weed and I expect a whole lot of questions and coaching , every tidbit helps . Thanks again !

I'm at about week 4 of flower with the testers. I put them in as very small clones, just wanting to get an idea of which ones I was wanting to keep. I have to say they are producing a hell of a lot more than I was expecting, the buds are getting pretty chunky! So far I'm loving the smells too. I'm terrible at picking out smells, but some have almost a cinnamon, spicy, clove thing going on when I first touch them and smell. Then a few minutes later they smell a bit citrusy, some sort of orange or something. Quite unique so far, very pungent but I'm loving how they are smelling. Can't wait to smoke them!! lol.

Hell yes!! The citrus notes with pungent overtones make me think its one of the Squirt Sak testers. Squirt Sak imo is a totally new take on citrus and its very loud, flavorful and will stay on your fingers for a long time. The South African Kwazulu (SAK) landrace genetics really did something interesting and hitched a ride into the bold flavorful citrus elements taking it up a notch and giving it a hard to describe terp profile. I still have not found the words to describe it correctly lol. Would love to see some pics the next time you snap some!

You are correct, they are the ones with the Squirt Sacks :) They are definitely very sticky, with a lingering smell...hard not to keep touching them, lol. They all smell great though, can't wait to try them all out. I don't have any camera/phone, but I'm sure I can get my wife to take some for me sometime. To correct myself, they weren't the clones I put into flower, they were the plants from seed...but I had them in solo cups for like over 2 months due to very limited space and waiting for the last crop to finish. So they were topped, pruned a few times to keep them small. They were a bit hungry and stressed when I put them into 12/12, so to have them looking as good as they do is amazing, lol. The genetics seem very vigorous and resilient to stress.

I can't wait until I see which ones I want to keep, then give them a proper flowering. Longer veg and more healthy to start. I started with over 20 that I had to cram in 2 20 gallon containers. Down to 10 females. So between the stress, and how crowded they were/are, I'm very impressed with the genetics so far. I will get pics soon though, I'm more than happy how they are coming out so far.

I can't express my appreciation enough that you are growing out our gear in your garden.

Couple of pics, hope they load...never post pics so no idea how to do it, lol

Beautiful work!!! To my eye it looks like Squirt Sak Software on Apples & Bananas hardware. I would expect big flavors from the SAK side. Maybe even some of the AAB terps to get elevated along with it in the flavor!!! Both Squirt Sak and AAB turn purple towards the end but by my eye Im seeing more of the SAK shade of purple going on. So cool!

beautiful! I took one look and I said 'oh my gawd that's Sak of Apples' The AAB structure vibe is really showing and I can only bet that the Squirt Sak lent its terp profile to her as squirt sak is literally showing in the buds.
Man I can't wait to get these going I've received from you guys, every single strain you guys put out with so much care. Being able to know your strain by someone else's pic is a amazing thing. I'm greatful for your guys help and experience and generosity above all. Really hope karma rewards you for what you do. I got these from your giveaway can't decide what to do first. Definitely one strawberry but jetfeul, squirt sac,or others want all, lol. Need more space, I'll be posting pics when I get going soon. Thanks again

Love that positivity and your feedback, we care deeply about what we do.

Depending on what you enjoy most and what your priorities are - I recommend Tangie X Sour Strawberries for its consistent growth, high yield, very high female ratio, decently fast finish, and unique orange+motor oil terps. I'd consider this strain to be a bit 'leafier' than most modern hybrids but no real downside otherwise.
If you are after something with a more modern look and appeal, the Jetpack has it along with the dirt stick terp profile thats very uncommon and shows in most expressions.
Squirt Sak is going to produce a consistent unique spin on citrus, like metalic amonia + citrus with chunky buds that look like the ones @TheMystified420 posted.

I definitely love how they are smelling! I only had 1 female Apples and Bananas, but did keep a male since the smell rub in veg I really liked. Figured I'd keep the male just in case I want to pollinate something. Wish I had a pic of when I put them into flower. They were so small and stressed, I didn't think I'd get more than a couple grams from each. Just shows the vigor of the genetics, with proper training I'm sure they produce really well.
