cutting off leaves?

My little lady is starting to make some bud. Does anyone ever cut off the lower leaves? Will that hurt anything? My reason for asking... I was just curious if the lower parts of my plant would benifit with more light if I trimmed her down.

thats the lolly pop method,sur it will just send more energy to the rest of the buds,you might get a little shock,and slow growth for a week but shell snap back

I personally would try LST before cutting off healthy leaves. I understand that light can be an issue on lower buds but your plant will be using the nutes from the fanleaves late into flowering.

Many people do cut off lower leaves, I keep my fan leaves in tact. Two schools of thought on this one. I would say unless your plant is really bushy just leave them be.

I don't think that's what he's talking about buggs. I think he may be talking about the lower leaves on his plant that are probobly looking a bit ill right now since flowering. (How long has it been flowering?) ....Now if that's the case, and ur lower leaves are turning yellow, just let em be it's a normal thing during flowering, though I admit, it is hard to look at. the plant will shed these leaves on it's own when the buds have sucked up all the beautiful goodies in the leaves

Leaves turn light into food... take away the leaves.. take away the food...

Add more light.... side lights... whatever you can do to avoid cutting leaves...

but if you feel you must..

Cool deal, she is not that bushy so I will just leave them.

Ok....I got a mega nubie question. I have no idea what nutes are, could someone tell me. Thanks guys.

Ok I get it. I probably need to add some nutes to my plant now, she has seemed to stop growing like she was. THat may be the problem.

Leaves turn light into food... take away the leaves.. take away the food...

Add more light.... side lights... whatever you can do to avoid cutting leaves...

but if you feel you must..

couldnt have said it better myslef. if the leaves are healthy leave them. use some lst if you think it will help
