The great irony here is that this situation involves actual media censorship, not an unsubstantiated complaint so often heard amongst Republicans who are unwilling to publicly address their ethical/moral failures and shortcomings. And the kicker is the censorship comes from a self proclaimed socialist government. Meanwhile Republicans here in the USA continue to insist Obama takes us towards socialism yet they whine relentlessly about media that is allowed to cover republicans in an unfavorable light. WTF?

OK were you trying to point out she had opinions which she stated she did not allow them to bias her work or was this another accurate assessment of Bush Cheney by a person with a lifetime of experience and involvement with covering US presidents? I would say her take on Bush/Cheney was spot-on. I suppose Republicans would like to see her ilk censured as is currently the vogue in China.

No, we're pointing out that for years, decades we have been claiming a bias. And reporters say "we're not liberal." And here's the Dean of the White House Press Corp. The mascot for the Old Grey Lady incarnate! And she lets loose that she is a liberal, and further extols how can a reporter NOT be a liberal! So, we've seemingly caught them trying to have it both ways........We're not liberal, and we're objective. "how can you not be liberal"? HELL, MAN! THAT STATEMENT ALONE PROVES HER BIAS! Because everything else is false (is the implication), and therefore untrue. So, to her that alone proves how unbiased she is! Because.........she has all this experience, she has seen everything. And she has concluded that liberalism is right and truth. Therefore, everything else is wrong, and must be exposed as such. To her, that is unbiased. Truth is liberalism! Jesus! Hell man, she even quips "she's been a liberal ALL her life" - That's really open-minded. To be wedded to a single ideology her whole life. Who says the left doesn't have a religion?

First of all - she says - "he came in with the whole idea of war" WTF?! yeah, I remember those war campaign speeches in 2000! ok helen. then listen to her discuss his "conservative" views...........as if anybody could actually believe that outdated trash - she's practically offended by them.

You choose your vision. I'm not going to change it.

As for your little china quip.........who supports the "fairness doctrine" again?

The Mainstream media IS biased ... there is no doubt about that. If one doesn't believe it, then one didn't watch CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC during this last election cycle. This is why these station's viewership is waning, and why conservative talk radio is flourishing. The Fox News Channel presents a much more balanced view on current topics and the news ... and that's why it is taking viewership away from the once all-powerful main channels.

By the way, in case you've been missing it, Glenn Beck is now on the Fox channel. Its in the afternoon, around 2pm, so tape it if you must. Its a teriffic program. He had Ron Paul on as a guest yesterday.

I read a study recently (I will quote it when I can find it) that compared reporting trends at FOX with CNN and other major media sources. Through the periods of most intense fighting and most numerous casualties in Iraq FOX ran less than half as many stories about the war in Iraq, not because it wasn't newsworthy but because it was unpopular with the audience it was catering to...can you say BIAS! FOXnews was also found to have reported unfavorably about the Bush/Cheney regime less than half as often other major news sources. While some of the fools who frequent this website like to paint FOX as a "fair and balanced" (just spit up in my mouth) source... statistics don't lie. FOX is clearly running the sort of coverage their dedicated readers prefer to see. They need to rename that horse-shit FOX entertainment.

The only real liberal media is on the net ... corporate media is anything but ... if they were liberal like the bushwhacks claim ... we would never have gone into an illegal war ... or put up with stolen elections ... the liberal media online had plenty of reports that there were no WMD in Iraq at the time of the illegal invasion and that the bush crime family was going to attack Iraq no matter what ... they were right while the corporate media spew nothing but propaganda ... so spare me the bullshit about corporate media being liberal ... and fauxnews isn't even a real news network ... only a propaganda piece for the neo cons ... kiss-ass

When is everyone going to realize that the media has it's own party agenda. As they have said before - "We'll decide what's important, and we'll decide what to show the American people". Those who control the images, control the people. Get rid of all this bull crap about liberal, conservative, socialist, democrat, republican. It's all bullshit. There' just aren't enough people in the U.S. that actually use their own brains, read books, papers, alternative media, and make decisions based on their own assessments. The media controls the majority of the U.S. citizens through what they put on television, including the news networks. I mean look, most people under the age of 25 get their news from Jon Stewart and the Colbert Report. That's a huge indicator as to where our country is headed and who's telling the U.S. people HOW to think and WHAT to think!

Anyone who is really interested in making a change will give their vote to a Libertarian or an Independent. At least these groups have SOME free thought! Anybody who sticks with the dual party system is simply a CHANGE POSER. And most of these posers are simply doing it because it's the en vogue thing to do at the moment or their group of friends will only have them in their circle because of their political ideals. Give me a break!

You want change in the U.S. political arena? Then force change by refusing to vote Democrat or Republican!!

In a college shooter situation the L M reported that 2 other students subdued the gunman..true enough..but out of 116 stories the fact that they went to their cars, got their licensed guns, and subdued the gunman was not reported.. Why not? Because that would have shown that guns in the hands of law abiding citizens are a help not a hinderance, but hey, that would have been reporting the real truth, not their truth. I think that ALL so called news programs should have a preceeding disclaimer.. The following content for entertainment purposes only..
BTW.. If ABC CNN MSNBC et al are so unbiased, then why didn't ANY of them get on Caroline Kennedys ass about not wanting to make the required disclosures before being appointed and when she just pulled out? Hmm When they blanketed Alaska to dig up dirt on Sarah Palin? When none could be found, they made up loads of bull? Knowing it would be disproved?

i hope obama does fail.....and by the current looks of everything he is going to do just that...he is well on his way..you all just elected a sweet talking black man that has no experience...in the worst times this country has seen since the great depression and WW2 ..his plan....borrow and spend our way out of this mess..borrowed money is what has gotten us into this mess....the federal reserve must be done away with to solve this problem..and obama has hired federal reserve employees all over his staff..so not much chance of that..talk about restoring confidence in government...he just hired a tax cheat for secratary of the treasury..and all of them are CFR members...the banks..the car makers...the building industry and larry fucking flint are all wanting some bail out money..or some more bail out money..and uncle obama is more than willing to KEEP HANDING THEM YOUR MONEY....that you or your great grandchildren will have to pay back..remember folks..every trillion dollars we are in debt..that means your family is personaly responible for 10K dollars worth of debt and borrowed money.. your portion of the national debt was 100K dollars each one of you...just a few months ago ..it is now 170K each family...and another million dollars you owe..each and everyone of you ...for unfunded liabitys ...suck as social security..medicade ect...how do you like the feeling of knowing the government spent 1.7 million dollars they borrowed upon your behalf? do you like owing 1.7 million dollars? does it make you feel good knowing you are so rich that the government would spend almost 2 million of your dollars..nice of em isnt it? :fire:
