In order to grow 60 plants who much cash do I need to start a proper grow room???

60 full size plants, hmmm. i dunno but i'm thinking it can be done with ~3 thousand us dollars

that's just basically lights and ventilation as well as testing equipment, soil, and nutes.

if you go aero or hydro it's gonna be probably twice that.

Currently waiting to get my med card in mich so not sure what would be the best route. But my spot is like 800 sq ft. Three different rooms as far as strains goes not sure on that niether prolly cheese or kush

a couple 1000w HPS would do well enough for 50 good sized plants. any more than that and you'd want a third HPS.

so either (3) 1000w HPS or (4) 600w HPS fixtures.

if you're looking to outfit a grow this size it'll probably run you between 2k-2.5k depending on what you already have available.

Just thought I would mention it. I know each city in California sets their own limit or it defaults to the states limit. That's eight veg and eight flower here.

I just finished building my next big room, designed to hold 56 plants in 6" RW cubes at a rate of 28 per 4'x8' ebb and flow tray, under six 600w HPS lights (three per tray) along with all the bells and whistles (can 100 filter and 8" fan, 70gal resevoir, 100' of two sided poly, nutes, etc etc etc) and it cost just over $3500USD.

i used to grow 64 plants in a real simple setup, 2 1000 hps a 4x8 flood and drain and an A frame i built out of wood to hold the table over the res and hang the lights over it, so yeah the 3 k estimate is accurate it could be a little cheaper if your good and can wire up your own ballast, when you take them apart they are quite simple and you can buy the parts cheap and mount them on something, but yeah 3 grand will get you rolling good

$24 - bag of 100 rapid rooters
$75 - co2 regulator
$160 - co2 bottle & fills for the duration of 1 flowering cycle
$100 - 8" filter
$200 - various fans
$300 - miscellaneous parts, tape, bungee cords, timers, ducting, etc
$300 - meters
$300 - portable ac for more heat management.
$100 - medium for mothers and flowering plants
$300 - veg/mother/clone tent

plus the cost of genetics.. and remember I get special deals on some equipment. (mostly ballasts cool tubes fans filters, all the expensive shit)

that's almost everything if I remember... I get black/white poly for $1.0 per 10x1 feet...

that's around $2500 but that's a pretty slim budget, there are a lot of other things you can get to make life easier on you and the plants, but that's a good enough setup for good SOG production.
