Well im growing an unknown strain (believed to be sugarshack) and im in about the 3rd week of flowering and the buds are developing nicely and the hairs are a nice bright pink color. So im trying to find out if this is genetics or something else? I will post pictures later.

it's genetic. i've had a quite a few phenos of (mostly) unknown genetics show mostly or all pink hairs on the plant. it's a very neat feature, and the end result is usually very dark red hairs. you may just have a keeper ;)

Well its my first grow and the seeds are believed to have come from a sugarshack plant, and seeing the nice pink hairs is definetly exciting, the buds look very sexy. At least i know its not some schwag shit. Anyways like i said, i will post some pictures later and ya'll can lemme know what you think. Im pretty impressed myself, being my first grow in all and so far everything has been going quite smooth, no problems :D i cant waaaait to smoke it, nothing like smoking your own product right?

growing weed really doesn't take much...it's drying an curing that are the most trouble some,an where most people will fuck up their crops..

At least i know its not some schwag shit...right?

"ahem"...

most of my pinkies came from so called "schwag". you have to consider that MOST growers don't know wtf they are doing. therefore, their cash crops of great genetics results in a crap product.

i got oaxacan and S.A.G.E. from bags....

EDIT i'm referring to no one in specific.... i spoke to a guy a few months ago. he harvests at the end of week four of flower.

Well unless someone is growing a ruderalis plant. Because ruderalis is known to have extremely low levels of THC. So wouldn't a ruderalis be considered "schwag"

What i meant by schwag was poor genetics. If there is such a thing, but im sure there is...

Im also no expert on growing, like i said this is my first grow, but i spent about a month reading up on here and trying to learn from others experiences, and so far it has helped me alot, i have several plants (only one flowering) but the plants look immaculate, but those ones are outdoors so thats expected.

The one that i am flowering, i move it outdoors everyday for some real sunlight as i only have a few CFL's and i want some nice potent buds :) im hoping anyways...

Now whats with the curing that could ruin my crop? Do you have any advice?

I just noticed the stems are starting to turn purple-ish, they are just now lightly spotting with purple, and at the centers of the leaves where they leave the stem are also purple... could this be a P deficiency? and could it also be turning my hairs pink?

Purple stems is sometimes a sign of an N deficiency, but this is normal during flowering. If it continues to get worse try giving it a small dose of a fertilizer. Then see if it goes away. If it is a N deficiency, then soon you will notice yellowing leaves starting near the bottom of your plant. I'll keep a lookout if you keep posting pictures.

I've also heard of P causing this as well (especially during flowering) I just started feeding them bloom builder (its like.. 10-50-10?) so we'll see if that clears it up, and if not ill switch back to my veg ferts which are high in N

On another note, How do the buds look? i thought they looked somewhat small for 3 weeks flowering.. but that could be attributed to me trimming off ALOT of leaves.. i dont really know why i ever did that.. but whats done is done. So hopefully they turn out nicely

waaaaaaaay wrong nutes there secret. might i strongly recommend you get new nutes. that product will cause toxicity and lockout. trust me, i know ;)

btw, cannabis needs more potassium than phosphorous in flower.
