Everything is lookin great hairy, i dont think that you lost much with the height of the light, its a wonderful job man, those trimmings look delicious :weed:

I tried a sample last week and I was really pleased. I'm going to dry and then cure everything in glass before I smoke it up....yummmmmm!:leaf:

I pulled some buds and I'm still flushing and I'm hoping the lower buds will pump up some. My buds are really wispy...I'm really ashamed of them actually. My fault.
My hps should have been way lower and I put them into flower way to early (25 days from seed).

Besides that, my pH was way off and running sometimes under 5. It's really a bitch for me to keep it down this whole grow, maybe the FF nutes? I top with 6.0 ph'd water and 4 hrs later it's down to 5.0-5.5, what's up with that?

This is a real hands on experiance and I have/am learning lots of good shit.
I never want to have to buy stuff again.:bigjoint:

Okay, I'm getting braver. My 250 w hps is now 8" from the tops with 2 fans running between the light and tops. (I started at 18")
PLEASE DONT LET IT FRY THEM!!!

That's the exact setup I've got going, they love the extra light! It should really help thicken up your buds too, mine are rock hard! Your extra fans should keep everything cool; just LST them if the tops start to fry. Keep up the good work Hairy!

Thanks, they are mostly ready to chop now. I've taken off lots of top colas from the Big Bud and some from the White Widows. They looked mostly done to me. That BB is big. I hope the lower buds will then have time to plump up and turn colors before I chop those. I'm going to milk this grow for all I can get.

Hey Bluey. Thanks for taking a look at my grow. I'm excited about my new SH system. As soon as I chop these, I'm gonna start it. It may be another week or so before they are finished. I'm going to try to get the smaller buds to plump and see if I can maximize my harvest.

ur gettin 2 brave man. U wont know its bad until the tops of ur colas will be all burnt.. I wouldnt risk it this close to harvest man. Stay at 8'' or higher. I thought the same way. I went to turn the lights off and the top cola was burnt to shit. Not extremely but enuf to damage the fan leaves and a few hairs. U wont know its to close until ur plants are burnt

No, I dont want to mess up now. Everyone has said to keep it 5" - 10" from the tops. This is my 2nd day at 6" and they are fine. I have kept moving it down at the advice of the 250 W Club thread on here. Great reading by the way. I was getting fluffy, stretched out buds. I do have 2 fans. One oscillating across the tops & one between the hps light and the tops. Those are preventing the burn, I think.
