This actually makes a little more sense to me than the "floating plates" theory.

lmao exactlynice theory---except we know exactly were the plates meet---and what about mountain ranges---this guy is a nut job---making stoners make asses out of themselves at diner conversations
The Earth is growing because its converting the Suns energy into mass.I will mention 1 law of physics that will put this lame hypothesis to rest. Conservation of Matter - matter can neither be created or destroyed.

good luck arguing that one. the sun puts out a massive amount of energy in the form of light and heat. the earth is merely a spec in the suns sky, specifically we take up less than 1/1000000 of the suns sky. So even if you say that through the act of photosynthesis, plants convert ALL the energy that hits the earth back into mass (which by the way it doesn't it just powers the act of turning nutrients into sugars), even in the 4 billion years that the earth has existed not enough energy would have hit the earth for the planet to expand by as much as the video suggests. The Earth is growing because its converting the Suns energy into mass.

ok that's not entirely true. we have an extremely small amount of mass from meteorites and asteroids.See heres where you're wrong.
The earth has not lost or gained any matter from prehistory times. Its all still the same water and same rocks and same matter that was here before(not necessarily in the same form)
The earth is not a living organism. It is a planet. A non living things cannot gain or lose matter. It can only be broken and seperated but it will still be the same amount no matter what happens.
If what you're saying is true than if you put a rock in the sun it would grow.
once you can grow rocks hit me up
moving yes but not increasing in matter/energy.I thought the entire universe and everything in it was constantly expanding and being drawn into a central point,i could be wrong though, lol
Its actually (apparently) accelerating. It seems to contradict the know physics so thats when they came up with "dark matter" to help explain this phenomenon.I thought the entire universe and everything in it was constantly expanding and being drawn into a central point,i could be wrong though, lol
