i just set up a new grow room in my garage. i keep the furnace on 65 all day and all night. the temperature in the grow room stays at 74-78 with the lights on. my question is...why would there be puddles of water i there, and water dripping from the ceiling and walls. is there any way to prevent this?

Turn the overflowing bath tub upstairs off ??!?!?!?!:o

Sorry... I just couldn't help myself...

You gotta figure out where the water is coming from...

That much condensation sounds like a nightmare...

What are your temps outdoors... and indoors?

outdoors it like 20 and inside the grow room it between 74 and 78. its in the upstairs of my garage, so there is no overflowing of sinks, showers, or bathtubs.

I was just trying to be funny... :o

Well, if your walls are insulated, there is no way the cold could be creating puddles of condensation on the floor...

Unless you have a major draft somewhere, allowing frost to build up and melt in the room...

I've seen what you are talking about, but it was much much colder before it affected insulated walls... like 50F below kinda way colder...

I would start by looking for drafts of cold air... behind furniture.. wall seams... floor....

yeah, its the second floor of the garage. the garage stays closed...i mean i dont use it to park my cars in. everything in there is insulated with insulation, then sheet rock over it. the furnace in there stays at 65 all day and night, and the temperature in the grow room stay around 75-78. i do not have exhaust in the grow room, but i do have a fan that is constantly running, just to keep the air moving. im just afraid the soil in the pots wot dry out, causing the roots to rot.

I don't know what to say...

The water has to have a source... period...

What is the relative humidity in the grow room....?

You do realize you might get a bunch a mold if you try to flower before you resolve this... right?!?!

It just seems odd...

I guess the next thing is to figure out RH, and possibly run a bad ass DE-humidifier...

:o

Whats the humidity like in there?
Do you have any fans or exhaust in there?

You have created an environment that creates moisture but cannot get rid of it....

I bet Chiceh is spot on... you need to ventilate the space... not just move moist air from one end of the room to the other...

yeah, im putting some ventilation in there this evening, and getting rid of the water that is currently in there. if it comes back...oh well. these plants ore just going to be mothers, and i dont plan on flowering. just about a month and a half before i can take clones and get them out of there.
