help 3 weeks in flowering but buds seem tiny

now im up to scratch on trichs now ive checked em and they seem to be more on the clear side at the moment

1. how long does it take for trichs to change colour

2. should i trim off all the little fan leaves like 3-4 days before chop and leave the bud leaves on for say 4 days then cut them down

ive heard so much about where to cut the plant

which way 1.just under the soil 2.just above soil

3. hang the whole plant at first for a few days then trim it to my standard then let it finish slow dry this sound right?????

I just cut it above right at the stalk above the soil. Then go to town chopping it all up into bud stalks and hang'em up. Some people hang the whole plants, I just think that's too much of a logistical nightmare for me.

I just do a "pre-trim" and hang them up. After they are dry I trim them closer and save all those trimmings. I basically cut close enough to only have "trichy" material left. Then cure it in jars and you're good to go.

For me it's just easier to hang the bud from strings in individual buds than entire plants. To each their own, but where's the logic in it making the bud taste better?

Once you kill the plant it's no longer producing THC, it's no longer growing and what's done is done.

heres some new pics not the greates as my new phone is 3.2 megapixel pretty crap compared to my old phone but you can tell they have gotten fatter they are just starting to get past 50% orange hairs i have a 30x scope i checked the trichs yesterday still mostly clear few cloudy very few amberish

how quick can trichs change in colour????

i can tell you the big bang has come on leaps it has two main colas that are as fat as coke cans and the strawberry haze looks beautifull has 4 main colas just under coke cans each but lower growth on the big bang is huge were the lower on starwberry haze is not to clever

why cut the hole plant down at once when you can cut and hang the colas and let the light get to the lower buds and rippen the up more for a week or so. i don't take my whole plant down at once.

cheers mate think ill take your advice on the lower sites let em light up for another week

first grow and i know im near the end i have really gave these my best shot with available funds and space

just seem to take forever maybe because from seed??

each day they are looking more and more like real buds now but wondering how quick the hairs go orange and the trichs can change as im in the last two weeks from today but the hairs are still 50% and the hairs on the big bang are very short haired is this normal?

Don't worry if temp is ok and they have plenty of co2 then he buds will come,just a small question this can happen if the 12 hour cycle is interupted check your timers.get the light has close has you can then hey will start to swell more.

ill look into getting the light closer but dont think its possible the buds have swelled tremendously over the last 3 weeks they have about 2 weeks left to go hopefully unless i stressed them early on i have no light leak made sure early on.

also its hard checking the trichs i have the 30x microscope as far as i can tell 3% amber 15% cloudy the rest clear how quick can they change in colour how often should i be looking i want cloudy/amber trichs

flushing means providing ph balanced water with no nutrients .. basically feed at normal intervals for a week or 2 before harvesting

my big bang said on the pack 9 weeker but i just reading on more sativa dominant strains and i have one will it need longer than the stated time or not neccesarilly

my big bang is very frosty though frost all on the big bud leaves
my arjan starawberry haze looks indica dominant but has only got half the frost of my biog bang very confusing im a have to keep checking trichs arent i

do you allow for runoff when you water/feed? im no soil guy but i was under the impression you wanted 10% runoff every feeding/watering. if you havent been doing this you may have salt buildups in your soil. you will want to flush these deposits out.

there is a difference between watering and flushing...

thas what i figured. seems like plain old sense to me....you flush a toilet and all the water runs THROUGH it, not into it. were trying to clear out the soil here.
