I didnt know this was the political forum but since it seems to be I will chime in.
Only someone who is young or uninformed or very easily led around like sheep or has lemming tendencies would believe the liberal propaganda that Dubya is the cause of most of the problems the U.S. is facing right now. He did add to them with two wars but even there it was not as if there was no reason for them.
If you look at the problems he faced and those that were handed on to the new president and actually research and trace them back you will find that almost all of them go back to before Dubya, some as far back as LBJ if not farther. (For those of you here that are young LBJ stands for President Lyndon Baines Johnson, it is not Spanish for a blow-job)
Since I mentioned LBJ I will use him for an example. One problem that was handed to the new president is the mess that social insecurity is in. Well if you know your history you know that until LBJ there was a separate government account with the accumulated social security money in it sitting there building interest, just as FDRs plan called for, but LBJ ramped up Vietnam and suddenly there was a very large deficit and his books looked bad and he needed a way to offset the deficit and he raided, with the help of the Democratically controlled Congress, the social security fund and it was transferred into general funds and LBJs books looked much better. The only minor problem is that the social security fund was then empty and no one ever since has replaced the money and that has left the government in a bind and presidents since President Reagan have struggled to find an answer to the social insecurity problem.
The new president has to deal with Iran and its nuclear ambitions. Well on the very last trip to Iran President Carter was told by advisors to not lavish praise on the Shah because there were groups in Iran that did not like the Shah and in the long run it was more important for the U.S. to be liked by the Iranians than the Shah, that the Shah could go but we could remain friends with the citizens and a new government. President Carter ignored the advice and lavished praise on the Shah and before the presidential party had left to go to the airport to fly out of Iran riots had broken out. Roads were blocked and the motorcade had a difficult time getting to the airport and needed to change routes several times and also needed additional armed escorts. Soon the Shah fell and the very people who President Carter drove to riot were the ones who overthrew the Shah and became the new government and every president since has had to deal with a belligerent Iran.
The U.S. has lost many jobs and many people blame Dubya but the blame lies at the feet of his old man and President Clinton, along with the bipartisan Congressional support of the time. Bush #1 came up with NAFTA but was negotiated under President Clinton and it was signed by President Clinton. On the day President Clinton signed the NAFTA trade agreement he said it would not cause a loss of jobs but instead increase the number of jobs in the U.S. He also said that it would create a sound stable booming economy in Mexico and that would mean that Mexicans would be able to find good paying jobs in Mexico and they would stop coming here for employment and NAFTA would be the solution to the illegal alien problem that was by then growing very large. Neither happened. Dubya was handed the problem to fix.
The lenders fiasco was the result of Democratic legislation and President Clinton when they teamed up to loosen lending regulations resulting in loans being made that would never have been made in the past by any sane lender. In 2001 Duyba and other Republicans said there is a major problem brewing and it needs to be dealt with and dealt with fast so how about you Democrats helping us. The Democrats said everything is fine, dont worry, things are running as smooth as a Swiss watch. Dubya and other Republicans kept repeating themselves but the Democrats refused to listen and refused to help. There is a YouTube video of a House committee meeting where Republicans are almost begging House Democrats to help and Rep. Barney Frank and others said there is no problem, dont worry, everything is wonderful and in fact it is so wonderful that more loans should be made available to low income people. Dubya and Republicans kept trying to enlist the aid of Congressional Democrats right up until the axe fell but the Democrats refused to help. Then when things fell apart the Congressional Democrats pointed a finger at Dubya and said, hey pal .. it happened on your watch, you are the one to blame. Now that problem too has also been passed to the new president.
The list goes on and on and on and on. Almost nothing that the new president has to deal with was the creation of Dubya, though liberals and the uninformed and the young who have not been around for enough decades to know the truth claim otherwise.
Most problems that Dubya faced and then passed on to the new president if traced all the way back to their original roots will lead you to a Democratic president and or Congressional legislation written by Democrats.
Even the wars have Democratic roots. Iraq was used by President Carter and then later tossed aside and left hanging out to dry and that caused Saddam to hate the U.S. President Carter used the Afghani "Freedom Fighters," that later became known as the Taliban, to give the old Soviet Union its Vietnam, as President Carters Sec. Of Defense Zbigniew Brzezinski called their plan. The U.S. created the Taliban and armed them and after they kicked the Soviets out of Afghanistan they took over and later they rented rooms to international terrorists who became known as Al-Qaeda and in time they became such a burr under presidents that one had to do something about it and now that has been dumped in the lap of the new president.
Only through living during the past decades or studying true accurate history, instead of the revisionist history that most people know, can one know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Very sadly few know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth but those who know the least seem to be the ones who talk the most about things and they lay the blame at the feet of the wrong people.
