I like to keep it simple. I usually get Pabst or Miller High Life. On special occasions I'll go all out and go for the Kokanee.

My favorite beer is the beer I brew. My West Coast Brown Ale is probably my favorite, it has won 1st place twice. My IPA is pretty nice also. American Wheat in the summer is good, with Blackberry puree for the ladies...it's a nice light purple!

Pics are my DIY 6 tap kegerator and brew rig.

thats beautiful man. do you keep three outside and the other three in the fridge part? also are you using the co2 produced from making the beer to add to your grow room?
you should start a brew journal, that would be awsome

After venturing through 6 Countries, and about 25 different States, I found myself in South TX. Like every small town USA, these people live & die, drinking the same ole shit, like meatloaf once a week, for life. I'm a big Fan of variety, like Pizza from France, Ham from Germany, etc. Hash & Acid in Holland isn't too shabby, either. Give me Chink, Greek, or Freak food, but please, not the same ole hambuger, meatloaf shit. Same as beer. Lone Star only goes so far. Like Pot, there is a couple 1,000 strains, I want to play with all, not the same ole' Mexcian shag shit. My South TX. Running Dogs never been 200 miles outside of their hometown, meatloaf & Bud Lite shit. All that is fine & great, but there is a whole world out there. American Beer is shit compared to German Beer, where I spent a few years. "They drink warm beer". Idiots, there Cellers maintain 40 degrees year around.
Anyway, I decided to add some shit to the mix, Cajuin Food, swamp rabbit stuffed Tamales, and beer from different Countries.
The Club was called "Weird Beer Friday Night Jamborine & Hoot-Nanny." Each Member would get a couple six-packs of weired shit from different Countries. To start the formal beer drinking escapade, we would vote on which Country to start our world tour. For example, let's fly to Holland, check out the Hienician. (sp?) Actually, Skool beer is the best), then, we would head to Mexico, the Sol blew the Corona beer away. After being chased by the Mexican beer Police, we would hit Canada, for some nice Foster's Beer. By this time, we got lost in Siagon, or Japan, didn't give a fuck.
All on a big front porch, no women or Kids allowed. A magicial thing happened. All the stress from the job & marriage was off-loaded, and the Jams kicked in, and the kick back Party begin. That's when the wives & kids joined, which was very cool.
Anyway, Honey Brown, #1., #2. SOL, then it goes from there. Beats the hell out of a bar, & no DWI's. Fuck, the people couldn't find their cars. Just my input.

Back in the 70's we drank Molsen RED (label)...very skunky. Not sure it is still around though. It was great stuff...

My school buddies dad was a big time banker who traveled the world and would bring back tons of stuff for us to sample. They were German and thought nothing of letting us drink beer with them. very cool folks...of course today they'd be on the news. Lawdy...

No the 3 kegs in the pics have had the tops cut out and fittings tig welded on. From L-R is the Hot Liquor Tank (holds hot brew water and a heat exchanger), Mash Tun (where the grain is mixed with water and starches are converted to sugars by enzymes), and boil kettle. The kegerator fits 6-5 gal "corney kegs" (these were used by the soda industry before bag-in-a-box soda syrup.) I do not use the co2 from fermentation as light "skunks" beer. Green glass does not stop the spectrum which degrades the hops and causes a beer to skunk...this is a flaw in all beer styles and is only enjoyed by Americans where green glass is perceived as "premium". European Heineken is sold in brown bottles which protects beer from light degredation. Because I first fell in love with skunky buds, this does not bother me on occaision and I enjoy a heinie.

The new Heineken mini kegs are pretty damn good. I prefer Guinness though, I wish they had those in kegs. I like beer that can keep a spoon upright..

Yes, Mexico makes some good beer I think. For such a hot country they make a pretty good heavy beer. In the caribbean, it is usually very light. Puerto Rico makes great rum but very lousy beer...bleh.

If you like a good skunky beer try any of the Summit company's, i swear those guys go through more hops on each bottle than Hienneken does on a whole batch.
