Carbon filter Vs. ozone generator

carbon filter, removes smell well, good at its job, but it does have issues that come in tow, my biggest issue with a carbon scrubber is, i use it to remove the smell, however it is fucking noisy, so if someone came here for whatever reason to check the smell, i couldn't leave it running because its a fucking loud fan, like you can hear it in any room of the house, so now my problem is this guy is coming over to check my house over do i a leave the fan on and hope he doesn't notice or b turn the fan off and hope the smell doesn't come through at all

Get a variable controler on that thing! I have notice at at 90% power mine is still pulling more air than I need, and really quiet. Its that last 10% that makes the noise unbearable. If someone were to question you tell em its a fuggin hepa filter fan because you have terrible allergies.

Ozone is an extremely powerful gas. High levels of ozone can kill pretty much everything. This can be a good thing if you have it under control, but if you don't, watch out. You can do serious harm to your plants' health, and even more importantly, your own health if you overdo the ozone.

now thats just a crazy idea, lets buy a 6" fan, get a variable controller, turn down the speed so it sucks less air than a 4" fan,

shit i feel u guys, my 180 cfm exhaust fan makes my cieling and walls vibrate, sounds like a mini air compressor or some shit. but from outside its a quite humm. i will remove it from lid , and remount with a piece of rubber inbetween , 2 try to dampn the noise, and then im building a square box lined with gun casing pads, to help dampn sound even more

wait i though ozone was a gas, from what i know its O3, and that happens by making O2(oxygen) unstable with ultraviolet light or sumin and causing a 3rd O to join the the pair, right? or have i learnt it wrong.

Hmm... Maybe I dont want an ozone generator. Maybe Ill just make a home made carbon filter and hook it up to my exhaust fan... which is basically just an old kitchen exhaust fan... but it does have a flange on the back that I could rig something up. The ozone generator was for sale locally on Craigslist for $50.00. Im on day 3 of 12/12, first grow... and my room is actually not that stinky... not nearly as stinky as my veg room was which was much smaller. I only have 2 plants... but they are big and bushy. I have about 8 clones, so next go around... will be more than 2

while "ozone" can be dangerous to humans, the amount home units produce is minimal,
adding an extra o molecule does not make the air a gas, the toxic gas comes when ozone reacts badly with certain compounds, which shouldn't be found in your grow room, while the ones that are used to treat water may well give off large amounts of toxic gases, the ones used at home will not, especially with the way it is setup,
so therefore home ozone generators for grow purposes do not give off harmful gases
