curing question

I harvested my Purple kush, sensi star, and hawian snow about 2 months ago. I was opening the jars everyday.. The buds seem a little dry to me,even know thay don't crumble.. the deal is they don't have that Dank smell... the Pk smells "earthy" like soil.. the sensi star is ok.. and the hawian snow smells like grapefuits and piss. How can i get these to taste and smell better?

If they are too dry you can add an orange peel for a day. Did you keep them in glass jars and ina dark cool place for the cure? Did you flush before harvest to get the nutes out the buds?

put some mint orbit in the jars, i did this and it made my stuff smell amazing.

I've also had friends who put their weed in empty fruity loops bags to make their weed smell more... fruity? I never did but I smelled it after it was done and to be honest the mint smelled better to me =D

There not so dry they turn to dust.. they have some moisture in there...

I flushed for a week. hung dry for 5 day, put in glass jars,, open them many times a day for the first couple weeks..

I don't think it's " all over" like the one guy replyed.
the weed at the canibis cup is usally cured for 4 months or more.

this was my first grow.. i did good on looks and high,, i just really wasnted that KIND BUD stink. maybe it's the strands.

All you can do is keep on curing. But I think the smell you have now will be all you will have later.

i don't know what went wrong? like i said looks great gets me ripped, but the smell-taste is not like anything i smoked befor.

Nothing you did wrong. Its just the terpense (spelling) where low in the plant. No biggie.

Looks great for first go around. As long as it smokes good the cure process will get easier as you go..Good grow

my goodness, but those are sure choise looking buds. I won't sweat it as long as the high is good and from the looks of those sweet one's you did good.

By the way where did you get your purple kush from? Im guessing from seeds but which seedbank or was it clones? Thank

clones, from a source in the south east u.s.,, i wish there were some seeds.

next time you grow, if you do same strains, you may want to use the advanced product Sweet Leaf. Supposedly that adds great taste/smell. Never tried it, but i would if my bud tasted like hay

How was the ventilation in that room? Were your temps too high? I know lack of ventilation and air flow can give those buds an odd smell/flavor. I think it's just trial and error with the whole curing process, just takes some experience.

Word, Thanks.. I won't be groing the same strains/ strands(?), If it does like it's supposed then I don't think the strain matters..

My ventalation was the best. themp were cool and dry. I had the air moving around the jar. Dark place.. .. I had about 1/2 "O" get mold, but that was contained, controled and seperated very early.

tea bags work good and orange peels...you'll get a fruity flavor

I used bloom food twice. most of the time i used just mollasses. I flushed for a week. I harvest a plant early, and that, got the mold, so it was an isolated incident. i flowered till the trichs were ready.(amber on the indi's/cloudy on the sat's) I cut 2 months ago but, I heard the bud at the c.cup was cured for 4months, so i kept it in the jars. I don't know what went weired. It still gets me really high. I just wanted to know for the next time.
