I'm using a pc fan and it's doing the job with no problems so I would think the 4" fan would be more powerful than my pc fan and that it would do the job just fine thus making the 6" fan overkill.I am going to make this Carbon filter and was wondering to those who have tried using it with an inline fan which will do to attach to the filter and if the 6" is overkill?

Thanks!
I'd have to read over it again but I think if you buy 2 more pencil cups you pretty much have everything you need to build the second one. Then build an output duct as shown be the other member and add 2 filters to the duct and it will allow twice as much air to pass. See how that helps with airflow.im having a little trouble with this thing restricting my airflow so my temp builds up in cab....whats the cfm on your fans?
Purely guessing but I'd say 6 months to a year, it all depends on how much air is passing over it, what other contaminents are in the air that the carbon is absorbing, how much carbon is in the filter to absorb bad stuff, lots of variables to consider.Just made mine, brah! Gonna add yer thread to a link in a post in my grow! Still wonderin how long it'll last! Thanx fer the idea, brah!
itl work but, probably not well.. ide just go get a 8 inch ducting fan at homedepot, and get an 8"-4" adapter... Pe@ce...
