I assume you meant how much electricity usage is enough to wave a red flag. Am I correct?
　
If so that depends on the size of your home and what area it is in, as in climate, and also how many people live in the home. It all comes down to the average usage of similar sized dwellings as to if you will stick out like a three legged race horse or not.
　
My home is a good bit more than twice as large as the average sized home in my area. It is all electric, right down to running my own well pump, but it is highly efficient and I live alone and I do not have lights on at night other than the room I am in at the time and I even keep that to a minimum. I could run several 1000-watt lights and still be well below the average electricity usage for homes my size. I burn a single 400-watt light and my average electricity usage is less than homes that are around 1,200 sq. ft. or 1,300 sq. ft., which is less than half the size of my home.
　
So as it is said all things are relative and that applies to electricity usage and red flags. If you are within the range of what similar sized homes use you do not have to fear anything but if you go much above that range you might be waving a red flag into the air for someone to spot.
　
That of course means there is no way anyone can give you a specific amount of electricity usage that is safe for you or for any and all to use. What is totally safe for me to use might be a danger for someone else to use and of course the same applies for each individual situation.

if you mean how much til its noticewable and red flagging then rule of thumb is 1 1000 watts per bedroom of a house then you start raising flags

What doesn't make sense about it? They MONITOR your electricity ON THEIR GRID.
My long time friend who works for PG&E for many years, he lives in southern cali. CA is strict on their energy consumption and what they are really looking for is people stealing power. You get yellow flagged in their system if your electric bill is over $1000.00 and red flagged if your bill is over $1300.00. This is for residential customers who are paying for their electricity. The majority of people do not even exceed half that amount or even a quarter amount. There are exceptions to people going over $1300.00 but like I said the majority of customers are a quarter of that amount.

uhhhh, 3 1000w lamps isn't going to be over $1300 a month. I really don't care if you guys believe me or not, I personally know a CA med patient that has been running 6 1000w lamps for many many years and has been caught twice for power bill, being a med patient all he got was a slap on the wrist.

I know one of the higher ups of my electric co-op (small town), and they told me that unless the cops come to them asking for bills and usage amounts, they dont give a flying hooha about how much you use, just so long as you pay the bill. Im sure it just depends on your electric companies policy...just another reason to hate PG&E.

that sounds pretty good. i think everyone gets what you are saying humble learner. i just wonder what would really happen anyway? i guess all the electric company could do is send someone out to look around. i suppose if security is good they can just go fuck theirselves. id like to see a search warrant based soley on electricity use

That is insane. That is roughly 22 years of electricity for my house going by my last year’s monthly average and my home is 2,750 sq. ft. and 100% electric.

Paying an average of $2,500.00 per month would hurt my feelings very deeply regardless of what it brought me in return.

my electric company charges a little under 10 cents per kilowatt hour so..
my 600 MH running for 18-6 will be 10800 watts or 1.08kw $1.08 per day
switch to 2x 400 watt HPS FLOWER for 12-12 will be 9600 watt or 9.6 kw or $.96 a day
and my whole electric bill being wasteful is 100 bucks without ganga or ac.. wasteful people.
