doesn't bother me, i don't own a car. although, if gas were $9.00 a gallon, everything else that has to be transported would be more expensive too. like groceries for instance. pretty much everything really. you don't have to be an economic genious to see where this is going........

Although the premise behind this question is absurd, Hell yeah! Pull out of Iraq!
If the US attacks Iran and blows up everything- dismantling the Straight of Hormuz.....
Then $9/gal is a distinct possibility.
I have a 4 banger but still $2.80 gas has me shaking my head.

I do admit that there would be some change, but gas is 9 bucks a gallon over here anyway and everyone still drives. Most people here drive either a 1800 or 2000cc car. The people with more money tend to have the 4800 v8's. Saying you'd quit driving is a lot like cigarettes here, everyone said when it gets to 6 bucks for 20 i'll quit, they send the same for 7 8 9 and 10 bucks, everyone still smokes though.
Would i pay 9 bucks for them to come home sure, i'll pay whatever they tell us to, we have to because the motor car is such an important part in society.

yes its 350 for the oz but another 250 for fuel surcharge.....

When gas hits 9 dollars a gallon...diesel prices will sky rocket as well. You realize this would make the prices of just about everything you buy skyrocket too because just about all goods are transported via semi's, planes, trucks, and vans at some point. Also Ups and and FedEx would be more expensive. I know its going to happen eventually but I dont mind waiting because it will cause lots of people to go completely broke until we started implementing alternate sources of fuel.

Oh and I drive a 64 chevelle with one of my old circle track race engines in it, I probably get about 9 miles to the gallon

I stoped trying to solve the worlds problems long ago 
... because someone always steals it and sais OHHH I invented it first... The T.V. totaly my idea... than a few weeks later I see them everywear... you better believe it... it happen like 3 months ago...
