I have grown with cfls about 2 times and i thought they did great but the only thing they didnt do is make the buds dense enough. they come out too fluffly and when i put them up to a light i can see through them. do you guys think i should add more cfls to densify the buds or should i just try molasses? if i try molasses where can i get some of it that is good? walmart? grocery store? any suggestions?

yes i know densify isnt a word.

Higher wattage cfl's and get them as close as possible to the tops, my first grow was with cfl's and the buds were fluffy but not to bad also there's probaly some nutes that can help is well! Good luck with your grow

Lighting is always a factor in how dense buds will turn out but there are some products that help to get those dense buds. I use Liquid Lead for the last 2 weeks of flower and I think it works great. I just started my current plants on the Liquid Lead and they just keep getting fatter. I have been using the stuff for a couple years now and I continue to use it.

I only just heard about this stuff reading your journal. Boneman has used a product called Gravity that made his nugs very hard; he was happy:clap:. Light intensity, however, is the real key to big hard buddage.:hump:

Yes gravity was the name of it now that I remember <3 boneman. I like my buds rock hard so that when I roll em they fuck me up heavy. I also heard they weigh more but I don't know.

yea im not worried about light, i already have 100 watts on one plant and thats like 5500 lumens and i plan to double it to 200 watts for one plant. im gonna look up liquid lead and gravity. i couldnt find much on liquid lead.

i think if you had a lot of low watt cfls, say 26watters, and had like 8 or 9 of them on a few plants and they were kept very close than i believe you should get pretty good buds. although, a few high watt cfls would probably do the trick as well.

i just plan to buy them as i can afford them, ill have a range of 13watt-42watt cfls.as long as the heat doesnt become an issue ill continue to add watts. and since its only one plant i think 200 watts of mixed 65k and 27k cfls will do well.

im all for HIDs but i love CFLs cause they have low heat, low electricity, and are very stealthy which is what i need right now.

The buds i made with CFL's were just as fat and dense as the ones i grew with a 400W HPS. The biggest difference in the density of the buds I have grown was the result of their respective STRAIN rather than the light I used. Thats a CFL bud in my signature picture. Its all about coverage and proximity.

That explains why google thinks it's a stained glass craft product and I also came across this New England Journal of Medicine article that makes me glad I don't smoke dope in Germany! Fucking lead flakes in bags of weed causing widespread poisoning. Sheesh.
