Yeah Lurk... Forgot to thank you for that info on the roots.. very useful..

I just opened up my rez removed the roots and tried to see if I can sperate them.... they are laced together amazingly well.... Like a fucking brillo pad....

I have an idea...tell me if this sounds crazy (ANYONE!!!)

What if I trim the male down.. like get rid of all the colas growin balls... cut the top off that shit and all.... just leave some fan leaves on it so that the plants "stays alive" and the roots in the rez dont rot... then the plant wont be able to produce pollen.... then it wont be a risk to the females??? and I wont have to do SERIOUS damage to the rest of my roots...

any advice would help... and by all means if you think Im crazy.. let me know and I wont do that shit...

DO IT! haha, i was thinking i might have to do that when i had multiple plants going in the waterfarm. the idea was trim it low, so even if any balls do grow they are below the level of the main colas and may only pollenate the lower nodes. never tried it, i ended up digging all 5 plants up and replanting the strongest. IMO give separating the roots your best shot. There is a small amount of exaggeration when it comes to "damaging" roots.. again IMO i may have just gotten lucky.

Final thought, the one plant left after uprooting 5 FROM HYDROTON of all things, is now flowering and should give me a good harvest.

even if you cut off the balls, you have still put your females in risk of bein nutted on by the male, when i had my ag, i cut at the lowest point possible, and left the roots with the other, never rotted, they stayed alive

awesome... Im going to cut that shit rightt a the main stem and just leave a stump growin... hoepfully the roots will stay alive like they did with yours...

lol... I will let u guys know how I make out.

oh and yeah.,.... I never thought to do that either and then SICC said he did it... so I figured FUCK IT. Im just going to minitor its roots the next few days to see if i notice discoloration... then I gotta try to yank them...

roots should be sweet bro as long as no light gets in.the roots of the male are still in my rez with out any drama.i flush the rez once a week to get rid of any debrie.

:leaf:Finally decided to take some pix....

Everything has been going smoothly so I haven't reported much. The girls (4) are drinking about 3 liters per day and seem to be budding up quite nicely! The roots are doing well... The male roots are still in there. I wish I had more to report but I dont....
