Good tip.

Girls are huge and nice looking. Really want to get them in their new home.

3/6 in the closet are down. 4 is about 25% down.

This grow is a testament to how resiliant mj plants are. I have not taken a pH or ppm reading for the clones since the first time I filled their rez about 6 weeks ago. I have only been changing their water every 10-14 days. They spend the night under a sheet to keep light out, and still they are beautiful.

And these Purple Kush plants are not going to end up with the gross roots of my last batch. Promise.

ph and ppm are complete unknowns. Been roughing this one. No notes, nothing. I don't have any idea the last time I changed the rez. Amazing they still look that good. And all under 58 watts of flouros. Wow.

And yeah man... I like the sorority house. I might have to paint something on the door or something.

So the girls have moved into the sorority house (love that).

I am getting things set up still... they are still in their little tubs and have no light at all at the moment. I'm cleaning the HID's and the flouros are still lighting my livingroom.

Here's a look at the situation as well as how the closet is put together a little (for those of you who didn't watch the last grow).

Question: Where should I put the flouros in the closet for supplemental lighting? The plants are going to be in the 'side' pots, so the middle holes will be left empty. Do you think lights in that gap shining sideways? Laying on the tank, or raised 6-8"? Or should I put them on the sides where light wont get to as easy? And should I stand them up vertical or horizontally?

Everyone always wants to know what the silver thing is... it's a remote thermometer/ rain meter. The rain meter is not used, but the remote thermo comes in handy.

For real... I've been singing non stop since my last bud was trimmed. I'm overjoyed at being done with all the work and very excited when I look over and see 3 giant jars of pot and 3 boxes full of branches. Makes me want to sing man... haha. My wife likes it.

About placement. You think laying on the 'floor' looking up, on the wall halfway up the plant, or vertical on the wall between the two plants?

I wouldn't put them between any plants. That would keep me up at night.

I am thinking spectral dispersal here. If your lights are above the plants shining down in the center, AND at both ends of the closet, when you close it all up.....you will have lumens bouncing around all over everywhere!

Keep them above the canopy on the outside. Thus there isn't a lot of plant matter obstructing the lights. Make sense?

Patience is my thing... I just waited almost 14 weeks for my indicas to finish. One thing about watching plants grow is you have to be patient. I also enjoy watching paint dry. Haha, and watching Nascar races (sorta like watching paint dry while going around in circles).

Only think I forgot was to get the RO water flowing. I only have 8 gallons or so, but need about 20 more... should be a few hours.

The blue sheet is to keep the light out of the rez while the holes are empty.

I just fill it up to within about 2 inches of the bottom of the rockwool. Right now just the tips of the roots are in water, but they have bubbles so hopefully it's splashing up a little.

I'm just playing all this by ear, becuase not only do I not have experience, but I also haven't been keeping track of what the ppm's have been. I've just been going by the Dutch Masters website schedule for nutes... but it I don't have very accurate measuring utensils, and they were in only 1 gal before, so we will see how the girl handle what I give them and I can adjust from there.

I also don't know what the massive change in light is going to do to them. I hope they like it.

I guess in DWC it's easy to tell if the nutes are at the right level. If you add everything and you are at 1200 ppm... then a few hours, next day it is 1400 the plants are drinking more water than uptaking nutes, ie there are more nutrients than necesary. Maybe not enough to burn them, but a waste of money. If the next day the rez is at 1000ppm then they are taking more nutes than water, so they would like more nutes please. If it is still 1200 then you are perfect. See what I'm saying.

On your last grow the root reached bottom of the tub, correct? How far below the net basket was the water?

Last grow the roots were at the bottom, piled up just a little. They should have been bigger, but I kinda messed things up with the bubbles and the molasses (i feel really stupid for that now, but that's what 1st grows are for).

I kept the water between 1-5" below the netpots nearly the entire grow. I don't know if that is necessary, but I did it. I'm going to experiment with keeping less water in the tank this time and see what happens.

looking at those roots, i don't see any inexperience. that looks so good.
have you checked out what i've been doing while i was gone? invested in a 1000hps and a co2 tank.
