Yup. My mom vegged under a 400 MH in soil using Fox Farm. I still had nuted left over from soil, so I kept the Veg room with moms all soil. Did not cost anything to stay that way. Then I snipped them about every 2 weeks, and put the clippings in RW onto my 8 buld T5 with mix spectrum.. Then once they show there roots, there off to the flowering room with a 600W Ebb & Flow using Perlite as my medium. This 3 stage grow op work wonders for me.
But I never did max out my flowering room with 31 plants! Would have been nice to see what the whole room could provide at its highest potenial. I had the criculation to back it up. Im guessing if I grew all 31 plants right at 1 oz per plant, I should have been able to pull off 31 oz dried. Thats 2 pounds off a 600W. Would have been amazing to see and pull off! Thats about 878 grams/600W = 1.463 grams a watt.
Maybe one day!

This grow has really got me thinking about ebb and flow system. Maby grow 4 plants in a little tray and tiny reservoir under some mixed spectrum t5's and see what that does. Or put them under my 1000HPS to bloom. Amazing work by the way. I tried flowering an 8 inch clone under that 1000HPS and probly got like 3 grams. I pretty much threw the plant away because the weed wasnt up to my standards (bad genetics) when it was done. I cant believe they stocked those genetics at a med club.
can you tell me whos method your using or where I can find some good info about ebb and flow. I havnt gone through your entire journal but I plan on it. Thanks.

I gotta be honest... I'm pretty much planning on copying your setup. It'll be awhile till its all together, but I'm trying to get my shit straight now. I got more questions... answer whenever you get the time I guess, I know you're busy moving.
So could the moms be in their own ebb/flow setup? I ask because I'd like to have things as automated as possible. If they were, they'd be on a different feeding schedule than the flowering clones, right? And would you not recommend going with anything less than 400W MH for vegging the moms? I was thinking about maybe trying to do it with a high-output T5 setup, but if thats not enough than I was considering a low wattage MH. So you've basically got three seperate chambers going on... the mothers, the baby clones, and the flowering room, right? I saw that you had the inline cooling duct going through both the MH and the HPS. What about the fan for ventilation/exhaust... did that cycle through both chambers also or did you have a seperate fan/duct for both the flowering and vegging rooms? And do you consider the perlite to be better for this type of setup than hydroton? And is that enough fucking questions for one post? Haha damn, I feel like a pest.

I get about 3/4 to 1 1/4 oz per plant clone! Its very efficient and easy to use. PM me about the equipment.

Yes, I was lazy, and just needed another res, pump, timer ect. I was going to but never got around to it. Yes, automated is the key to being a lazy stoner and harvesting your fruits of labor!

A T5 is perfectly fine. In fact I would have gone that route, but had a 400 MH sitting around. But if you do go T5, get the big 8 bulb one! There dont use much elect. and with 8 bulbs, you will get great grow and pentetration to you foliage!Mix up the spectrum or keep them all grow spectrum. Does not matter to me in terms of results.

I have a High Output 6" Canofan sucking cool air through 2 6" cooltubes and pushing the heat out side the rooms. No heat from the lights, no ballast inside the grow room. The air coming into the cooltubes where coming in through an open ended cooltube with the 600W room. It was dragging enough to pull from the other room as well (400 mom room). Let me know if I loose you.
Then I had a High Output 4" Canofan pushing fresh air to both rooms. I had a 4" Y adatper one for each room.
Then I had black panda film over the doors, and used them as a guage to see if I was pushing too much in into the rooms, and adjustes the big 6" so that is would slighlty suck the Panda Film inwards so that I knew it was cycling corretly.
And do you consider the perlite to be better for this type of setup than hydroton?
Wont make a difference. Perlite might saving you more money, plus you can reuse it, it has zero PH issues, and its white, reflects light back to the underleafs down bottom. At least thats my theory!

i'm looking at converting to Ebb 'N Flow about 14 or so days from now in my flower room. I'm thinking about laying down some boards and making 'boxes' on the floor for (2) 5' by 10' gulleys... and then filling those with perlite... maybe 7" inches high. I was thinking of transplanting directly into the perlite by popping the (primarily sphagnum) 16 oz. clones directly into the gulleys w/o any sort of containers. Then flooding the gulleys to a depth of 5" or 6" inches. The gulleys would be right on the floor... and the rez would be under the house. I'd be using G.H. Flora Micro and Flora Bloom. Any feedback or suggestions on this proposition would be appreciated. Do you have any trouble keeping the perlite out of yer rez? Do you use screens or filters?

thier din well on thier way , waiting on these 30 plants now to finish. even with ozone dank ass house,lol., i saw mary janes purple wreck and i do say its incredable,glad i got extra pac an and settup the breeding room for these 5 strains and crosses with my moonshine., thanx kenj i found it,lol, very pro,kenji are you doin a journal yet ?......, with a little more room and a couple more lights dk you could go full scale.Say DK you use RO water? mine ph is rite at 6.5 with flowering nutes it shifts to 5.5 which incredable without adjustment.water is everything.later bro.
