This is my first grow.

Ive set up a 7x5 room with 3 1k watt vented lights (currently 1 MH and 2 HPS) w/ 850 cfm centrifugal fan, Reflectix aluminum insulation material, a 10,000 btu window ac and a co2 controller. Temps at the plants are between 78-80 daytime and 68-70 nightime now. Co2 level is set at 1500 ppm 24/7. I'm using Roots Organic soil and low stress training and a 19/5 light cycle currently

I have started with 4 of Mandala's Satori from seed, and with 4 Chemdawg clones that I picked up from a local club.

I planted the Chemdawg clones on 6/18 and the first Satori also happened to sprout on that same day. The clones are kicking the seed plant's ass in growth. They were all doing really good until I changed the lighting setup and they were forced to withstand 95 degrees for one day. Ever since then the Satori's have been yellow and are not thriving. The Chemdawg's showed some signs of stress, but are making a strong recovery. The LST method seems to be working GREAT bc they are as bushy as could be. I started the Satori's LSTing from sprout. I left one Satori "traditional" however just to compare though/

I will get some pictures up tonight once the lights turn back on, just thought i'd get all of this part out of the way now.

Hopefully this will be of interest to some of you, curious to hear your feedback!

Day 4 of 12/12 now. Just sprayed them down with a light misting of Ed Rosenthal's zero tolerance before the lights went out this morning.

There are preflowers all over the Chemdawg's. No indications from my Satori's yet. Room is starting to smell good :)

Going to take more pics when the lights come back on today, theyve grown quite a bit!

New growth seems somewhat pale, is this normal when the light cycle changes?

One of my Satori's showed that it was a male last night, so I removed it and placed it outside for now. I guess i need more confirmation... Its a real bummer bc the Satori's are looking so good now!!

Here's some pics of it

I'll get some more pics of the rest of the garden up soon

I got some pics tonight! They are all looking very healthy with lots of new growth. This is 8 days into flowering, pics were just taken an hr ago

Check em out guys

Here is a side view of one of the LST'd Chemdawgs

Here is a normal view of the same plant

This picture is a side by side shot of two Satoris, one that I LST'd and one that I didnt. The one of the right is the natural one. Doesnt seem that beneficial with this strain..

This is a top view of the lead Satori

This is the stalk of the lead Satori

keep in mind, the Satori's were grown from seeds which germinated on the same day that the chemdawg clones were placed in the dirt.

Everything seems to be going great. Any pointers or suggestions are always welcomed though! :joint:

Day 13 of flowering now, I turned the two HPS lamps off for a minute to take some pics of the progress. The camera seems to able to handle the MH light alot better. Ive lost 3 of my 4 Satori's now, the two biggest were found to be guilty of being male today and were escorted away with haste. The only Satori i'm left with now is a small little freak one that grew slow as hell and looks weird still to this day. Im thinking of just throwing it out and eliminating any risk of pollenation. I got some pics of the two males, and some pics of the 4 Chemdawgs for ya here

This pic kinda shows the whole setup

Thanks alot bro! Trying to give them everything they need ;) A gram per watt would be sick but I doubt I'll get there.. I've taken more pics, I will try to upload them tonight

get ur new pics up m8, i cant wait to see the buds on these babies, very very nice, keep it up and dont get tempted to go to high on the neuts, ul end up burning them, remember a healthy plant will produce nice buds for u. lets see those pics.

and here is just a general shot of the setup

I had to move the lights up, as I was getting some light burn on the top leaves. During the moving of the lights, I made a huge mistake. I accidentally plugged the third light into the wall (not into the timer) and left it that way. So my plants ended up being under 22 straight hours of light :wall: When I discovered this yesterday about 2 hrs before the lights were supposed to have come back on, I put them back on their normal schedule. Hopefully that wont fuck things up too bad...

Also picked up some liquid seaweed and flora-nectar to begin using with them yesterday too. I'll keep you guys updated now that i'm back online

I had the same thought when I first seen this journal. Those plants are just amazing!

in that last pic^^^ what kinda trimming do you do? it looks like the secondary branches are gone w/ just the main stem and fan leaves left, do u cut those off?

They suffered a bit of light burn due to the excess heat of the 3 1ks going all at once, so I had to kill the MH in the center. By the time the air went through the two HPS bulbs, it was just too hot to cool the last one effectively. I also have been raising the HPS bulbs as the plants grow. They are 16-17" inches tall right now and growing at the rate of about 1/2" per day for the last 3 days. Hopefully the stretching is coming to an end!

I started them on liquid seaweed and flora nectar tonight also. Starting to finally see some "crystals" on the buds too :)

Ive done no trimming at all, besides a few dead/damaged leaves. I just tied them down early on, and the side growths actually became the "main stems" i think youre looking at. They have small side growths off of them too, but they are only about 1" long at the longest and full of bud
