Ha ha! That last pic would be a good one for a Verizon Wireless commercial. More bars in more places.
Thanks Bluetick! I am amazed at how fast things happen with only 12 hours of light. They seem to be growing faster then my first plant did on 24 hours of light lol. Those cfl's seem to be doing pretty good.
The Pros are all based on the speed the plants develop. Males get weeded out early and you dont waste money or space or time on caring for them. I left mine in 16oz beer cups until I could tell sex then transplanted them into bigger pots so I didn't waste money on the soil for males.hey guys, i am thinking about doing my new grow 12/12 from seed but i have always did at least 1 month veg time, if not more. i have always heard that 12/12 from seed has some draw backs. i really want to give it a go, but before i start this grow can anyone give me some insight on what are the pros of going 12/12 from seed?
on adverage what is the yeild like on a 12/12 from seed? . i am hopeing from anything like 2 ounces dried from each plant. The Pros are all based on the speed the plants develop. Also this way I can grow 6 plants in my little closet, giving me different weed to smoke all the time so I don't build a tolerance to a certain type.
I have yet to harvest a 12/12 infact this is only my second grow lol. But I read LOTS and it seems that if you know what your doing 1 ounce per plant is doable but I would not expect more.on adverage what is the yeild like on a 12/12 from seed? . i am hopeing from anything like 2 ounces dried from each plant.
If the leaves are not yellowing and if the plant looks healthy then it probably has enough light to live. As it gets bigger you may find the lower leaves yellowing from lack of light because CFLs do not penetrate very well.So..umm....I understand that I need so many watts of CFL to get the ladies booming...but if I limit my watts, exactly what is the fall back of that? I know I might have a smaller yield, and it would take longer, but is that it?? I only have 2 plants they are LST'd about 2 months old I think and are starting to flower. I have a fan on them and exhaust fan, lights on a timer, I only have 85watts lmao. But to me for my first grow, doing it 12/12 and on a super tight budget I think I am doing good. They have good strong stems, good root system. My temps range 85 to 75 and humidity I can't really remember right now. From what I've read it seems high, but my 2 girls are thriving, no nutes, no MG just good ole fashioned water and dirt. The leaves are good and green I did get a little nitrogen issues when I transplanted them a few weeks ago but they have BOUNCED back and are blowing up. Speaking of them I am going to check on them.
Any advise will be taken into consideration, only constructive criticism is welcome.
THANKS MUCH GUYS!!!
you still rocking that 250w?nice example there cerebralvibrator.
ive got one a bit younger that im bending and its taking a similar shape to yours.
heres a new pic of my eldest 2 12/12ers at 12wks old now
and the top of one of last years plants that i bent and tied
looking good man!!looks pretty tall but that LST will help looks great man also awesome strain keep it upHere's a few pics of a Durban Poison clone given to me from a friend, she has been flowering for almost 3 weeks under a 250w HPS. I'm using FoxFarm OceanForest soil, tap water and Age Old Bloom liquid fertilizer. I did some minor LST training in week 1 to help the lower branches receive more light, as you can see there's some pretty bad stretch. This is my first time growing 12/12 from clone so I don't know what to expect. How does she look to you guys?
Let me know what you think!

you should also check out the 250w club lots of good info there if that's the wattage you use to flower... check it out https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/128751-250w-hps-club-help-guide.html#post1587652

CV.
those plants look great for a CFL grow, keep it up!Looking good there DD, starting to bud up nicely
Bluetick, you using a 1000HPS ? Thats some power I used to use a 600HPS until a couple of years ago, they can certainly do the business.
Anyway, I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum here ! I'm a commited CFL grower nowdays but what I like about this thread is that we can all appreciate each others work without that constant "you should that, or do this" kind of post.
Heres my ladies again at day56 from germination 12/12 all the way of course. Northern Lights, 350watts of CFL's in a metre sq cabinet PLUS a bit of natural sun of good days. Had a touch of fan burn earlier but all new growth green and healthy.
The next 20 days or so should see them fill out nicely
