Welcome roll it up. ive been a long time reader, and recently decided to start posting. just got a camera and have always wanted a journal. RIU.org has taught me 98% of the growing knowledge i have, and i thank everyone for that.

little backround information about the grow. i started out with 9 kush seeds from a bag of some of the nicest kush ive ever had. im guessing this branch or cola was seeded either by itsself or a nug the grower meant to save for future generations. germed them all and only 6 poped.

built a box for vegging. out grew that in a few days because of heat issues. Theyve been vegged for about a month with some pretty bad heat stress(id say 85 is an average temp) nothing to hi. no 90+'s. recently swtiched them to 12/12 about a week ago. showed sex yesterday. one plant was topped and hasnt shown sex yet but i bet shell come around.

i just started feeding them shultz 10-15-10 at about half strentgh. they seem to love it. im almost postaive they were having a nitrogen def, and thats why i started the fee.

im using MG organice choice soil(no avalibity to fox farms.) with about 275-325 watts of cfls. with a mixed spectrum of about 80% 2700k and 20% 6700k

i also have 3 little jack herre seedlings which are basically 12/12 from seed.

hope to see people post and give me some feedback on this grow.

haha. im trying my hardest. they seem to be doing good. im gonna try and get more side lighting. its amazing to see the first signs of females, and to be able to rub my plants and have my fingers smell of kush :D

haha, gotta stay true to my home town man. gotta say we get some amazing buds here. the flow from nyc is crazy... thanks guys.

ill post some more pictures tommorow. ill try and get some close ups of the girls junk. love these little sluts.

Yeah i cant go without smoking some sour or some haze if i dont have my own stash..Smoking schwag is out the question for me..Check out my journals whenever you have time.always got room for someone in my hometownn...

yeah berry, this summer has been flooded with haze's. both my boys are pretty big dealers. just got a nice wave of some bright green NYCD and some grand daddy purp(even though its not purple its tasty) where abouts in ny are you if you dont mind? i havent smoke anything worth less than 20 a gram in years lol. fuck dro. fuck mids. fuck regs. :D

haha, got a friend going to school down there. i probaly get your left overs :D

i just feed the plants with molasses for the first time. they were dry about an inch or so in the soil, but still somewhat on the heavy side. still feed them about 1 tbsp to a gallon. I frist boiled it in with some water, thought i heard that helps somehow. probaly breaking the goodies down more? oh well. did that and chilled it to roomtempature. and feed them, came back about 5 hours later and i swear there already eatin it up. white hairs grew. more appeared. leaves were super perky and i mean straight at the lights begging for more. so far, i like :) gonna let them sit in that for a few days till there ready for a just water run, then back to shultz. little pattern im gonn start. wow im rambling on, so zooted..... :)

im thinking ill get some pictures tommorow just a small update.

ive noticed that the plant i FIM'ed seems to be growing just circles instead of oval shaped things with whit hairs poping out. me thinks i got a posible male. no worrys, i got an idea and questions. im thinking i move "him" outside. let him beast in the amazing sun weve been getting lately. leave him there, collect pollen sacs,make hash, and seed a branch on one of my plants.
question. whats the best method to pollinate a single side cola or underbuds with some male pollen.(both kush) I was thinking collet the sacs in a vial or small jar i have, let them burst open by shaking them up slightly? then take a q-tip and brush one of my female plants outside away from the others?

let me get some feedback on my idea, id like to get a small stash of seeds to pass off to some friends, and to keep my own generation :D

One more thing.

How do they look for about lets say, 4 weeks veg, 1 week flower. semi high temps for basically all of veg. I look at other peoples grows with hids and i get jeaolus :'(

wow, getting no love on this thread anymore, its depressing lol.
well heres a picture update for whoever.
were at about 1.5 weeks flowierin, more budsites apearing.
recently lsted, some under growth so it gets more light and doesnt fold under the bigger fan leaves.
trying to clone one of those undergrowths in 12/12 lighting. doubt ittle work. worth a try.







the plant on the far left here is fimmed and the possible hermie , the ones to the right are naturally growing with no training except sidebranching

Theres no need to be done wilt..People do be busy on there own grow.Looking at your girls they look good..
Your clone should root on 12/12.I did it plenty of times..
Keep the pics coming and a journal.Im here..

you know anything about the reding on the larger fan leaf stems?
since its an indica dominat strain ( if not 100% ) i should expect what, 8 weeks flower? ill be able to look when the times come just want a ballparck guess.

got a question about a possible upgrade too. my buddy is selling a 400w hps hood and ballast for 90 bucks. i was wondering if my closet could handle it. dont know the actual size of the close id guess a foot and a half wideth, 5 foot lenght, and a i height of about 10 feet. i got about 300+wats of cfls and during the day it can get pretty hot at about 85 degrees. all i have for cooling is a dual window fan mounted to the side, and ac but its never really on to save power. only when temps hit about 84. would the hps be too much heat? i dont have any exhaust to the outside only into the room with the closet doors open while lights are on and doors closed when there off. i really want to upgrade but wondering if heat would be too much.


I didnt know you could clone on 12/12 lighting, thanks for clearing that up. i hope shes roots, shes tiny though. it was a lower branch from my first or second node on one of my 100% females. ive been misting a lot during the day and keep that rubbermaid container over it as a humidity dome. its always got droplets on it so im guessing its good.
berrrywidow, do you use a heating pad for clones? ive tried before and i think thats why they didnt root, even though my grow room is really warm.

Yeah i was excited on my first journal grow as well and it didnt go so well.I wanted it to be like a thread where everybody can come in and comment.But i guess as long as you r doing good people will notice and comment on it..

The redding on the stem could mean many things.Overwatering or maybe needs to be transplanted is what i can tell u off hand from my exp..

If its indica dominant you should expect atleast 8 weeks.But let it go 9-10 to see how it does.Since you got more than 1 cut one at 8 then at 9 or ten see the difference..

Upgrading to a 400 in that spce can be done but you will need to invest into better venting..Get some duct booster fans and ducting and use that to pull the hot air the bulb is giving off out the room..I use a 400 watt in a 2.5x2.5x5 grow closet.But i have a air cooled reflector with ducting pulling the air from the bulb.But its too hot in the summer over here my temps get up to 86...I would say get the 400 and work it out you will be way more than happy with that compared to the cfls..

Yeah i tried it myself and it worked so i know cloning can be done under 12/12..I dont use a heatiing pad i just use rootech clone gel,soil in a 8 oz cup and a humidity dome n tray.Clones show roots 7-10 days.
