Meet up in Amsterdam 2011?

So I was thinking to myself today after talking to my best friend. We are going to Amsterdam in 2011 when he saves up enough money to make the trip, and since it's far ahead in the future I figure it would be a good time to bring it up so people could set their calendars. Last time I went it was kind of boring because I didn't know anybody, but I think if we had a date and meeting time when we could all hang out and meet each other without fear of the police it would be cool as hell.
I am definitely taking this trip anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else was interested in going. We were planning the Summer of 2011, probably in mid to late June.
I hope you all consider it seriously, any questions just ask. Flights are usually about $400 each way (who knows, you might decide to stay there). And mid-level hotels are about 70 a night, and we're staying for a week in a hostel at ~30 a night. So if anyone wants to join us, just say aye, and when 2011 rears it's ugly head we'll make sure you're on our list of people who get e-mails and meeting information.

My friend is about 2 and a half years younger than me and he'll be turning 18 then. Plus he has a shitty job and needs time to make the money.

And I knew that if I was going in say, a week, I wouldn't get anybody to join up at such short notice.

You can always take 2 trips, lol. But yeah it's about 800 round trip and another ~150 to stay in a hostel for a week, or ~600 to stay in a hotel.

We're staying in the Flying Pig hostel for 20 euro or so a night. The Eden hotel is a good cheap idea as well. I think cheapest rooms are about 70 euro.

I threw in like $500 for bud so total 2000 to get there and get fucked up for 10 days + Food



I would love to make a trip like that, and 2011 would actually be the PERFECT time to do it

How much does food and drink usually cost? I mean a balance between going out to semi nice resturants (Equivalent to a TGI Fridays where an entire meal would be like 15-18 USD)

Also, how would you describe a 70/night hotel room?

Also, how much is bud down there? I would of course be sampling all those strains like White Widow and Jack Herer

I'm on the West Coast United states. How much would I be expecting to pay (Probably fly out of LAX)

Whoever told you that weed is expensiove there lied, I paid 20 euro (about 25 bucks) for 2 grams of lebanese hash and 2 grams of white widow. Some is as cheap as 4 euro a gram. Food isn't bad, expect about 15 euro for a sit-in restaurant for like pasta and a beer, they have a couple Mcdonalds, and they have these stores everywhere where you put like 2 euro coins in a little slot and pull out a chicken sandwich, good munchies. Getting there is gonna be the most expensive part.
Everyone has to do the heineken experience when they get there, free beer and the coolest lounge/bar/beer of the future thing ever. Ut's 14 euro to get in, but you'll drink that in beer no problem.

I went to Europe for a week and a half and stayed in 4 different cities and it was only 2200. Just Amsterdam will probably be like 1500 for everything for me. Only 800 more to go. You can google coffee shop menu and get rough prices, but whoever comes can smoke a joint on me.

I have to say, though, the cheapest place for "legal"-ish weed is Jamaica, you can find trips there for about 3-400 bucks for a couple days and a pound of weed is 10,000 JMD, which is about 150 USD. It's not legal though, and you may get in trouble with the cops if you smoke in public, but any Rastafarian would be happy to share his herb. Amsterdam a lot cleaner and more modern as a destination though.
