How can you purposely and naturally hermie a plant without using chemicals? I am thinking the best thing would be to do 24 hours dark 8 hours light than different variations say 12 hours dark and 15 hours light?:?:

Thanks:leaf:

fuck that. you want pollen for feminized seeds right? the most stress-free way to get 'nanners is to overripen your buds. about a week or two after you should have harvested your girl will start throwing dicks.

The plants are already feminized, so when they turn out a chick and become stress they should give out feminized seed. No, I do not want pollen. I want seed.

what comes first, the chicken or the egg?:wall:

you need pollen to make seeds. plants arent feminized, seeds are. if you have all female plants and wish to make seeds, you need to have them make pollen first.

What about non feminized seeds with a 50/50 male/female ratio?
I'm really confused. Plants don't start producing seed unless there is pollen+female flower=seeds right? Maybe I slept through that part of biology class but even mj has to have male flowers (which produce pollen) and female flowers (which catch pollen and make seeds). It doesn't matter if it is feminized plants, non feminized plants, or hermies. It still takes male flowers (which produce pollen) to pollinate the female flowers (which produce seed once pollinated). Next time pay attention in class!

So you want to hermie it early so you don't have to wait for the seed to grow at the end of the grow? Makes sense to me.

I like the 2 hours light in the middle of the night idea

Why not cut the plant in half, drive a few stakes into the rootball, and then deprive it of water a few times? If that doesn't do it I don't know what will lol

But isn't there a chemical that causes females to herm?

Also this from Ed Rosenthal:

"If the cause is environmental, adjusting your gardening practices may cure the problem. Is the dark period being interrupted with light? Does the light go on and off at the same time each day? Have you been feeding the plants unusual chemicals such as aspirin? Has the temperature had unusual fluctuations or has the watering schedule changed? All of these environmental factors and stresses can cause hermaphroditism."

quoting ed rosenthal is a fucking joke. my 3yr old could grow circles around lil eddy.

OP- overripening is your best bet, its practically stress free. chemical induction doesnt sound appealing to me, nor does extreme stress.
