Alright, Ive been a lurker on this site since I decided to toss some schwag bagseed in some soil and see what happens. Well it started growing and I had no idea what I was doing. Next thing I know I stumble across this site and am totally hooked. This has got to be a the most informative site I have ever found. I'd like to think I've got a pretty good idea on what to do thanks to all you guys. Onto my setup...
(Pics will be coming tonight or when they are approved!)
Room: I started in my bedroom closet initially but I can't cool it well enough so Im in the process of moving to a larger closet/storage room upstairs. Thats todays project to finish. It's a 8x9 room, Im covering in mylar. The advantage is space and theres a window I can vent with. I'll probably build a cabinent strictly for vegging but thats down the road.
Lighting: Currently I have to veg
4 bulb mixed T5HO 20K lumen @ 6400k & 3K spectrum's from HTGS on Ebay (great store to use, discrete and confidential and high quality products).
2 105 watt full spectrum CFL's from Buylighting (good place to find high wattage cfl's cheaply).
Flowering I plan go with all 4 Agromax bloom bulbs rather than split in addition to adding a 55 watt warm cfl near the base of each plant since the Floros tend not to reach as far down as a HPS. I'll prob keep the 105 wat full specs on as well, no such thing as too much light!
Soil & Nutes: I purchased a couple of bags of Black Gold organic potting soil I'm adding about 25% perlite as well for drainage & aeration. For nutes I'm using Fox Farms Grow Big & Big Bloom. I'm using them as I've heard great things about their growth and even taste of the bud. Also they can be used together and keep the PH levels in check which I don't want to be constantly messing with. Keep things simple.
I also just ordered some Sea Tea. I heard this stuff does some amazing things for growth in both veg and flower stages as a foilar feeder. Some grower in Australia where this stuff is popular said it nearly doubled his buds during flowering. Worth a try!
Seeds: I ordered some feminized Pure Power Plant seeds from Nirvana. Ive heard good things from this strain. Also they had a sale 10 seeds price of 5, Score!

Power Plant ®- indoors, greenhouse
Powerplant (mostly Sativa) was developed by us in 1997 from new South African genetics. This strain has been inbred only, never hybridised. Very rich in THC. It is a strain with an enormous grow potential. Indoor as well as in a greenhouse the plants have an enormous yield. Indoors flowering starts already one week after turning back the lightcycle to 12 hours. Outdoor, flowering starts late, but the plants ripen very fast. This variety is very uniform. Strong “up high”, very soft smoke.
Pure Power Plant is a strong mostly sativa variety developed in the late 90’s from South African strains. The tremendous growth potential of this plant is a prime example of hybrid vigor. PPP is the latest trend among Dutch commercial growers because of its high yields of the highest priced buds. Pure Power Plant has a pleasant, almost pine, after taste and a powerful social buzz.
Plant type: Best suitable for outdoor growing.
Plant height: Medium- Indica/Sativa mix
Stoned or high?: Stoney yet high- Allround Buzz
THC level: Strong 15-20%
Flowering Weeks: 8/9
Yield (Sea of Green on one m2) : 500
Harvest Month: 8/9
Grow difficulty: Moderate
THC: 15%
flowering period: 8 weeks
harvest time outdoor: 2nd week Oct.
I germinated 2 a week and a half ago that are about a week into growing that are maybe 2 inches. I over ferted them at first I believe, didn't realize how potent the soil was. I flushed with distilled water and they seem fine. Very little brown in the slightest edges that is recovering nicely now.
Because of that I germed 2 more that should be sprouting any day or even minute from now. I flushed the soil with distilled water before planting the germed seeds this time. Hopefully I'm going for 4 plants and 2-4 clones I may flower early. It'll be too hard to wait for those bigger girls.
