Well despite this being moved to politics in the true and intended nature of this thread I'm 33 will be 34 in march. and theres a multitude of reasons I grow. for one this may strike you all as a surprise but I haven't smoked in 1 year now. the reasons I grow if I can articulate them adequately are first and foremost the Adventure the learning experience JUST to see if I could successfully do it,I've studied the fuck out of it cause I'm a perfectionist.I'm hardcore into the scientific aspect of it and approach it and go about it in a very scientific fashion I'm very cerebral about it I want to learn every fucking detail possible,I think they are beautiful plants and our governments a piece of shit for making them illegal,I've smoked since I was 16 but the last 3 or 4 years I've smoked only on special occasions usually once a year, and ultimately because it's FUN and I love plants in general, and YES I'm gonna smoke the fuck outta my home grown bud damn it, I'm gonna break from routine and the status quo and tear that shit up for real 
as far as it being legal anytime soon I seriously doubt it.and Yes the Fuzz makes me nervous but I don't sell it and I don't have a bunch of people coming in and out of my house Nobody ever comes over here..........as for the comment that booze was legalized because of a financial crisis thats entirely false, the Reason Booze was RE legalized is the retards in government only succeeded at fueling organized crime,gansters,and forcing alcohol production underground when they instated prohibition of alcohol. doing my first "real" grow with proper seeds and materials as we speak.

i don't worry about the police. i worry more about bugs, weather and neighborhood teenagers.

But the gangs today are like the gangs of the 30s.. don't kid yourself, alcohol was legalized due to the enormous violence like today.
12,000 poeple have died since 2008 ALONE from the prohibition of cannabis. If it continues at this rate it WILL be legal. and theres no reason to see that it will die down..
The gov't will not be able to fiscally and reasonably enforce prohibition. it's only a matter of time.

3. Do you think it will be legal? (nationwide? california w/ their AB 390?) In California it is legal, for medical use. It is some what legal also with Oaksterdam.
