:bigjoint:OK. This is for all the noobs who need seeds. I have searched through about 10,000 threads myself and found some really good places like serious, attitude etc. But being new and fairly new to growing alot of people want beans that are better than bag to practice with , but need them at a cheap price. I am personally thinking either nirvana or buyamsterdamseeds.com. With buyamsterdamseeds.com you get 20 free with every order, so ur really getting 30. Tell us what you think +rep for all good answers. Thx.bongsmilie

Already have mine growing from bag. This is for all the kiddies that need a little help. Nirvana is my choice for White Widow. They are out of stock onit right now though. :( Bag is doing good though just as an experiment.

I've grown 16 different strains from 6 different breeders so far. Nirvana ranks among the worst. Surprisingly the best has come from beans that were even cheaper than Nirvana. Look here -> http://www.hempdepot.ca/seeds/Cannacopia/index.htm $35 for ten beans. These are amazing genetics for that price... F2s of the best strains in the world. I've grown the BC Roadkill and Bubba's Kush. Nirvana seems like midgrade in comparison. I agree that it is very hard for "newcomers" to really know what good seeds are. A lot of the breeders you hear the most about spend too much money and energy on marketing rather than breeding. It's especially difficult because many people have the habit of repeating what they've read and this hype about certain breeders becomes self sustaining without anyone who actually grows the strains to back it up. Nirvana is one of the last places I would ever get beans from. You're better off with bagseed. But my purpose in this thread is not to trash Nirvana but to instead answer the OP's question. The following plants are from $35 seeds from the link I posted and are what I believe are among the best "cheaper" seeds you can find anywhere.

BC Roadkill

Bubba's Kush

Nothing I grew from Nirvana ever came close to looking this good.

Personally I have become a fan of sanniesseeds.com. I grow almost totally sativas and they have what I am looking for in a very affordable price. Granted he doesn't have the white widows or many of your popular strains you see growing here, but my plants have been healthy, and great growing. He also gives you a complete background of the strains he sells. I hope this helps and good luck.

I was not happy with nirvana at all. I do however like Attitude and talk about cheap! I just got the new news letter and they are offering free Pineapple Express seeds. Just pay shipping.

Hands down Attitude Seeds wins that competition. Between pricing and a very large selection and fast discreet shipping and great customer service Attitude is about impossible to beat overall.

If I were you I would pick them first and the very last place I would pick would be Nirvana.

I think most newbs would benefit more from an equipment upgrade... than high quality genetics.

If you spend a lot of money on seed you're going to be even more upset when you make beginner mistakes, or have trouble getting your setup dialed in.

That is some awesome looking plants. I will DEFINITELY be checking out the link. And I agree 100% that alot of companies brainwash us into thinking their seeds are the best, simply because they spend so much money on advertising and actually very little on breeding. +rep.

Thanks for posting canefan. I will check them out. Just one thing, why do you grow sativa? Makes me wonder if you grow outdoors because of height over indica. Thanks +rep

Brick Top (love Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) another negative for Nirvana? This really surprising. Attitude is a great place, I just thought they were high. +rep

I agree. At times I sit in wonderment while reading a message from someone who spent a ton-o-bucks on high quality genetics and then they tell you about the 2 low wattage CFLs they will be using and the aluminum foil they will use for reflective material and the new box of Miracle Grow (regular type, not even the tomato formula for veg and bloom booster for flower) and think to myself they would have been better off spending most of what they spent on genetics on a better system and picking some lesser more inexpensive genetics for now because they will not get all that can be gotten out of the genetics they paid like mad for.

The very best setup in the world with the very most knowledgeable and skilled grower in the world will not be able to squeeze out anything more from their plants than they are genetically coded to give but a poor setup and someone less knowledgeable and less skilled can and will keep their plants from getting even close to reaching their genetic capabilities in both production and potency.

It is like people who purchase the highest dollar golf clubs and expect to then play like a pro when what they should have done is keep their old clubs and spent their money on lessons to improve their swing and then later purchase higher quality clubs when only then would they be able to get the most out of them.

i haven't grown them , but the GrowDoc seeds on seed boutique are some of the most reasonably priced seeds i've seen
he has several strains of indica dominants which seem to get some pretty good feedback from growers
his stuff is targeted at the medical market for the most part
