Something Pissed me Off About Weeds

So I was watching episode 11 of the second season of Weeds, and I've occasionally been a bit unimpressed by their research, although I generally like the show. But, in this episode, they have 38 pounds of "MILF weed" that they need to sell as quickly as possible, so they give the character "U-Turn" a break on the price; $300,000. Supposedly the actual market price at the time is $500,000.

Now, I did the math like five times because I just couldn't believe how fucking dumb that is.
$7,900 a pound is a BARGAIN?!! IN CALIFORNIA!!!? You could sell that by the ounce for $500 and still wouldn't make shit for profit! And that means the going market price at the time for MILF weed is over $13,000 a pound. In a MASS QUANTITY sale, understand- they're moving it all at one time.

I think this shit is mother fuckin ridiculous B to the S, BULL SHIT.

Here in michigan good chron goes anywhere from 350-700 an ounce. 700 an ounce for 35 lb's is roughly around 5 grand.

yea but i just ignored that stuff, like there were alot of falsities with the growing and stuff. And like later there will be more about growing and selling. things that are impossible. but its tv so i dont expect it to be accurate and neither should you.

that tv show probably get the rookies so pump up lol on weekdays regs sell much quicker u might sell some tops but not as quick as regs unless u know the right people/teenager. but on weekend at parties or a getty the top bud sell very quickly. the fastest i have sold a complete oz by the dubs was 4 days.

yea, im in north FLA and i sell my ounces to my brother for 250, and to other people for 300-350 depending on how well i know them. They can then flip those for 480 so i figure that gives them a good amount of profit, but me more.

480!?! i QUIT! lol

i use to DOUBLE my profit. so if i spend 300 then by the end of the bag i want to see 600 on deck. my profit range from 300-350 and no i dont cheat but when i weight em i put .9 in each bag because the dude who weight the 1 oz include the branches after branches. when u add up the branches they weight something

fuckin bullshit show but Andy is funny and the only reason to watch the show

Oh and I quite like the show, by the way. And it seems that what was bothering me actually makes sense, with the prices yall talking bout. I know my homie used to sell to the CA clubs at $2500-$3500, and I thought that was a lot.

it seems u guys are payin ridiculous fuckin prices for ur dope chrons, at the very most an Oz of some fire should be no more then $300 im from ontario and i can get bomb shit from 220-280 and dirty old china bud from like 130 an Oz maybe less

What is the price of Gasoline in Canada - in US dollars?

I ask because the US dollar is at new lows - due to currency devaluation - thanks to the federal reserve printing money to save Goldman Sachs and other friends of Obama. If average Joe sixpack had a clue as to what's really going on there, we'd have a revolution...

Anyhow in Chicago you can get what they call "the bomb" for 330 an oz, but upon further inspection it's really not the bomb :cuss:

The Bomb is either $80 an 8th, or $390 or more an oz

Sorry homes, but you, my friend, are misinformed. Obama has been in office for a very short time, and the U.S. economy -particularly the value of the dollar- has been wavering since just shortly after the invasion of Iraq. I've been going back and forth between Canada and the US since I was an infant, so this is something I've watched with some interest, especially as the U.S. ambassador warned that there would be "economic repercussions" for Canada if they did not join the "Coalition of the Willing", and those economic repercussions manifested themselves in a massive drop in value of the U.S. dollar.

Currently the US and Canadian dollars are nearly on par, with the Canadian dollar remaining less than 10% under the U.S.'s value (it actually had greater value than the USD last summer, by up to 10%). I am in Est. Ontario and pay about a dollar a liter, or in US currency $4 per gallon.
