lol if you didnt miss you topped

fim-ing is a rougher less accurate cut that produces more tops than topping

yep, i use a 3.6 megapixel with a 10x optical zoom, i paid about 200 probably 8 years ago. damn thing is amazing. i do a lot of graphic design with it. but yea, your pictures demonstrate and locate the cutting zone very precisely. i don't know how precise you have to be, but i could replicate exactly what u did from the pix. so thanks.

okay, dont know if you can see but i can see the top of the main stem here but thats is before its shrunk to alow it to be uploaded.... btw how do i get high res pics up in dis bitch???? Look down here, in the mspainted photo you can see the tic-tac-toe kinda black marks... they mark the only area you should be concerned with, the green line marks the stem and where it stops... the top main of the main stem is the only thing that needs to be cut or preferably pinch.... i know now... you should not cut the fan leaves ...

This same pic, un-mspainted

To FIM, and not miss, you need to spread those baby fan leaves out of the way, find the actual growing tip, and nip it out, without damaging the surrounding growth, because just cutting through the uppermost growing tip is a crap shoot, and you're liable to cut the new fan leaves, which isn't good. You're in the right area though.

FIM isn't much different than topping, but it's less drastic (stress), and leaves more auxin's, and nodes. In my opinion FIM gives you more natural branching.
