Christmas light growing???

ok so heres a thought i just had


if u have a grow box... could your line the inside with a ton of white christmas lights and grow weed like that???

would it work.. if u think not then why do u think it wouldnt work .

its a white light and if theres a bunch then in could have the same wattage as a lightulb couldnt it and it would also get every square inch of the plant with light

Where do you people come from?Why would you think of treating a plant that way.You'll set up an electric field that will stress your plant ,and interfere with it's growth.

i dont get it.... why wouldnt it work its going to be a shit ton of light on every inch of the plant which would be great for it more light it places that a normal light cant get to like right under leaves where more bud could be produced

Well, aren't xmas lights incandescent? So you have basically the same amount of energy in about 1 or 2 full size incandescent, just spread out over like 100 very small metal filaments...It's just a spread out incandescent, so no...This will not be successful, unless you like the kind of growth created from 1-3 regular bulbs.

why dont u go look at my day 23 flowering with 3 CFLS it beats pretty much and 400 w hps grow out there i can grow just as good as people with hps with my CFL's so i think it will work

thats wat happens when u get put on probation and cant do anything.

decided not to do it because it would cause to much heat i still think it would grow if there wasnt so much heat

IF, by some miracle of god, that every bulb putt out 1 watt like the LED UFO's, then I could see it "maybe" doing a little good, but since the lights are the equivalent of incandescents, then I wouldnt even bother. They put out about 15 lumens tops per watt (incandescents) whereas CFL's or HPS' dwarf it with nearly 5x that amount or more. I wouldnt bother wasting time with it. If it REALLY matters that much, just put another CFL or two around it instead.

Try the LED christmas light strings. I'd say there's a better chance of those actually providing light to your plants versus the normal (incandescent?) christmas lights.

just like everyone thinks u cant grow in a shot glass but im proving everyone wrong on that too

just like everyone said u cant grow good thick buds with CFL's which i proved everyone wrong who said that because i have bbuds that look better then peoples with hps

Good luck with the Xmas lights, but IMO all the plants will die. Can you provide a link or pics to your massive 3 CFL grow that is better than anyones 400 HPS grow? cuz im pretty sure your CFL grow is very small compared to most HPS grows.

Wow, I have FOUR CFLs on each plant... And here I was thinking I'd "upgrade" to a 400W HPS next month, when I'm already running a 1200W HPS equivalent with my 12 CFLs!
