rarely is there such overwhelming consensus though.... Carter is a slam dunk worst president in modern times..... hands down, not even close..... until now.

Heck Jimmah just embarrassed himself AGAIN last week. He never learns.

he was a bad pres. and politician. can't be honest and be a politician. maybe i should phrase it as "if i needed someone to tell the truth" he'd be the guy. is he always right? no. Is he gonna lie? NO WAY!

now Reagan...he would have dreamed up a doozy:twisted:

Reagan had his principles to guide him. Jimmah had principles, but when he got to Wash DC, he realized the party that elected him didn't have any principles at all!

Jimmah was and is a super naive dude. When he negotiated the Salt 1 treaty and then the next friggin day, the Soviet Union rolled into Afghanistan, Jimmah naively told one of his aids... " I can't believe he lied to me".

Jimmah is making the very same mistakes today..... he hasn't changed.

Oh, and those Habitat for Humanity houses? They are all falling apart. You can't build a quality house in a week. There are no shortcuts in life worth taking.

If your elected the most powerful leader in the world, it's time to stop the grins and handshakes. It's time to be a leader> Reagan understood that. Carter did not. Obama does not.

Right now, we need a Reagan.

Today I don't have a person to say HB too. Instead it's a TV show, The Twilight Zone aired for the first, 50 years ago today!

Great show.... I remember watching it as a kid, along with "The Outer Limits".

I'll take an easy one with Groucho Marx. Fast wit and physical comedy gold, maybe platinum.

Platinum for sure!! I'm as big an introvert as the next guy, and could not imagine the size of balls it takes to act that way. It's just beyond me......

I can't go without saying HB to Don McLean!! This is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Nice choice.... I've heard it too often however... When that song came out I had a 4 year old nephew who memorized every word.....

What amazes me about the Marx Bros. is their mastery of timing, physical gags, wit, and true musical ability. I could watch Zeppo play Piano all day and listen to Harpo play that harp of his.

Now do you believe in rock and roll? Can music save your mortal soul? And can you teach me how to dance reeeal slow?

I thoroughly enjoy that song.

OK, so I was going to wish a HB to Gandhi, cuz, well, he seemed cool. But then I saw that it was also THIS man's birthday, and I had to

because it brings back a memory. During the OJ Simpson trial, my mom would constantly refer to him as Johnny Cocksucker. I was 10 at the time, and I'll admit, I didn't know what it meant. So one day when my grandma came over, and something about the trial came on TV, I pointed to him and said "Mama calls him Johnny Cocksucker"

My mom thought it was funny. My grandma looked less amused.

Anyways, HB Johnny Cochran

 Ur grandma was probably dismayed at you knowing that term....

Yes, someone should have told OJ that Johnny died before he invaded that hotel room with guns drawn. Johnny is the only guy that can make OJ look innocent..., er... not guilty (there's a difference)

No shit, especially when he could have gotten his shit back if he had tried to do it legally...or at least that's what I heard.

That's what I recall as well. He wasn't incorrect in his assertions, but his methodology was lousy... again. Didn't he realize that for the rest of his life, society was just waiting for him to slip up?

Yes.... an affront to all things decent.

But OJ finally did himself in, but even so, he should have fried for what he did in such a cowardly way.
