Best way to get the most females from regular seeds

i know i posted this a while back.. some good, helpful info though so i am re posting.. the original post i read was years back.. can't remember where i found it but the person who wrote it got around 90% females on a consistent basis from regular seeds using this method... (think it was from overgrow...)

keep a higher humidity, around 70% -80% and you will get more females..
keep the temps about 70-75. the cooler temps give more females than males.. males like heat.
less stress, less stress = more females..
18-6 lighting schedule rather than 24-0 give more females..
females like a good nitrogen diet..
males like more k or p, cant remember which atm..
control those things and your chances of getting a female will be greatly increased!

in my opinion it's impossible. With reg seeds its a 50/50 chance, I have never heard of doing any of those things to produce femanized seeds bro. The best way is to order them from a company with a solid track record. If you know how i would love to learn the techniques. Good luck man.

you're off a bit.

24hours for more fems
low humidity for more fems
cooler than average for fems
blue spec for fems

this might work if sex is not predetermined genetically.

idk.. i guess call the people that have tried and tested this method liars.. this is the way to maximize females from regular seeds.. from what i have seen/read, male/female is determined around the 3rd-4th week of seed... i just know of several people over the years to use this method w/ great success.. /shrug

I particularly like what this individual had to share. When I get home I'm gonna go through my bag seeds and see if I find any "female seeds".

wait wait wait im not even saying thats true this is what i found some where and i dout its true - but i do beleave sex is determined at seed when the female is pollenated by the male
just like in human's
are sperm contains both sex -and sex is decided when it reaches the egg
i beleive this is true with plants, the pollen contains both sexes and when it touches the female buds and a seed starts to form sex is also decided- but this info is unfounded

A couple of things we can all agree on is the more females the better. Any information that helps us in that direction is good.

lmao. i'm one of the people who've tried and tested these methods, and reported findings to thousands of individuals like yourself, only to be disrespected.

good way to get more females, DON'T FUCK UP YOUR KARMA BY BEING AN ASSHOLE when someone tries to help you.

o, and the seed chart has been tried and tested too; it's bogus.

I don't believe this is true. If so, than even allowing most of these conditions to be true, then you should see an increase in females right? Well - my first two grows - most of those conditions were met, yet one had 2 males out of 3, and the other, 2 females out of 20. Would be nice if that were true though.:peace:

i once planted 6 seeds and they all ended up male
and this came from bagseed which from my understanding is surposed to give you females or hermi seeds

from the method i posted, the average female to male ratio is about 80%/20%.. once or twice i have seen 70% fem/30% male.. still WAY better than 50/50..
it may not work for everyone but again, it will increase your chances... esp for those who don't but fem seeds..

After a seed has been created the sex of that plant is locked up in the DNA of that seed.

That's a bit like thinking if your girlfriend was pregnant you could get a girl/boy by feeding your girlfriend certain foods... etc.

Once the male and female come together - BAM - the DNA is created and the sex is determined. Your job is to get the DNA to express itself to its full potential.

i know humans work like that.. thought seeds were dif though.. i just don't know why i have seen such great results and others have too from using this same method.. i thought sex of seeds were determined more by their atmosphere because it will give a better chance of survival.. kind of doesn't make sense to me how you can get a hermaphrodite when the environment is messed up if the seed sex is determined b4 it even cracks.. not saying you are wrong.. just trying to make some sense of it :)

Your basically describing ideal condition for the plant to grow in, the key is to stress out the plants as little as possible by following those guidelines and u should get a good crop of females.
