I use a 1000 watt hps in a room about that size only taller. A 150 watt hps in that space will work fine just be careful to make sure your babies are all getting light and are not shading each other.

Personally I would probably use about half of the floor space to be sure I had the right coverage for each plant.

I think the problem you will likely run into is with the height of the room. You have to be careful to keep your light the appropriate distance from your plants so that they can get the needed lumens without bleaching out the flowers.

I am unsure of what the correct distance for that wattage is but figure its about 8-10 from the top of the canopy. (there are posts on this site that go into that more specifically)

That being said if your ceiling is only 5 ft tall and you take into consideration the pots and the size of the light and hood you might only have 2 ft or so of vertical space to grow in. Unless thats what you had in mind you will end up with some pretty small plants in my opinion. You might want to consider one of the many methods of growing out rather than up or find another grow room with more space.:leaf:

You say, about to get. Why not spend more and get a 1000 watter, that will effectively light your available space. But as said previously, head space may be an issue for you.
