Dozens of pot plants found growing from disposable cups in Surprise home

SURPRISE – More than 50 marijuana plants growing from disposable cups were seized from a house in Surprise.

Police were called to the 15100 block of West Hope Street at around 12:30 a.m. on Friday for a domestic violence incident.

Officers saw pot plants were being grown in a bedroom once they arrived at the scene. A search warrant was served and detectives discovered over 50 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. Officers also found a lighting system and a temperature control system in the home.

Christopher Petruzzelli, 38, was arrested and faces charges of production of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic violence.

Pretty sure those 2 things are pretty common in today's new housing.
