drying problem

hey guys i just harvested my cheese and the buds are pretty much dry after only like 2 and a half days

this happened with my last grow, so i didnt use a fan this time and i tried to keep the humidity up
my humidity was around 35

any ideas why this happens, i also have them hanging in big buds, not a bunch of small ones

hmm, humidity should be around 45% for drying.. i have never heard someone using a time table for drying because depending on the mass, the dry time will differ greatly. the rule of thumb is to hang dry until you can snap the bud from the main branch/stem. then put the buds into a paper bag for a week or two, mixin the stuff around every few days.. then from there put into a jar.. depending on your bud size, 2-3 days to dry isn't bad.. other than the fact your humidity is too low so they are drying a little too fast..

just depends on size, temp, air circulation, and humidity fer ur drying time.

yeah, just another stage in the process.. idk why but stuff that sat in a paper bag b4 going to jar cure is even smoother yet.. assuming because the bag controls the environment better than just hanging in a room.

thanks for the replies guys, i got some good new i think
this morning i opened one of the jars and the buds were moist again

so i put them on a piece of cardboard and hung the others that were moist up again

i think they were too moist, so i had to take them out
so i think im headed the right direction

Cut a big one in half and see if it is dry enough on the inside. If not you are drying them too fast and they are dry on the outside but not the inside which is a danger for mold. If they are dry all the way through then good, they were probably drier than usual when you cut them and that's good.

ok i just cut one in half and the only thing thats really more moist than the outside of the bud is the stem, so i think im ok

how often would i have to take them out of the jar, i know to open the jar once a day for like 10 min, but what about after a week or so
