Okay, this is something I noticed years ago traveling about the Caribbean islands. The Pepsi somehow tasted better and didn't make me thirsty after wards nearly as much. Well I found out that it was because in the states, the sweetener used is corn syrup, while in the REST of the world for the most part, Cane/Beet sugar is used. This results in a crispy taste that's lighter and refreshing as all get up. It's the same in Europe! It began to interfere with my Belgian Bier ( on tap no less) drinking....

Now during Passover, you can buy Kosher Pepsi for a limited time, and by my tongue, it has a bit more taste, but I'm not sure that means it's better. I was unaware of Kosher Pepsi, since I'm not Jewish, till one day I was in a Jewish deli getting a Corned Beef sammy. There it was displayed, and I was instantly excited.... sugar Pepsi, oh those crafty Jews.... They had accomplished what I could not. My hats off to them!

But now Pepsi has caught on (they've done this before), and brought it back for the Playoffs and Super Bowl (smart!)

Run, don't walk to the stores and buy all you can!

You won't be sorry.....

This bit below is from their website (Pepsi)

Go Tweeters!!

Right on. I never knew that about Pepsi. I think I'll have to go out and get me a 12 pack or 2. Do a little taste test for myself.

They have also included Mountain dew throwback as well.

And yes indeed. Pour some "syrup" Pepsi in a glass alongside some "sugar" Pepsi.

I would maybe drink the Sugar one first since it might get overpowered if you reverse the order.

I just finished one, and it was great! Usually even in the summer time, I don't finish my Pepsi's, it just gets so thick on the tongue. This is good to the last drop!

There is a Dr. Pepper plant in Texas that is privately owned by this fellow who never stopped using sugar. I know his soda was in demand and was being sold online but the shipping made it quite expensive. I don't know if he's still doing it, but MastakKoosh is talking about the same thing. :peace:

yah cj pepsi is pure nastiness if it remains open and unrefrigerated for more than 10 minutes. gotta load it up with ice and even then it gets gross fast.

I try to buy the ponies when i see them, even though they charge more for them. But that's about all I enjoy, that amount.

And no one told me the first time I had sugar Pepsi.... I KNEW there was something quite different about it immediately ... it's that different.

Back on the Pepsi thing, do you know what type of Pepsi I would have here in Aus? Pepsi for me has always tasted cheap and low quality, it would be interesting to know if this was why.

Sugar Quotas artificially raise the price of sugar in the US and Canada to twice the price in the rest of the world.
A few gain more profit because of this.
Meanwhile the consumer gets the shaft in the end products we consume.
The unnatural man-made High-fructose corn syrup is much cheaper for food makers to use.
and more unhealthy than natural sugar.

Heres hoping they stick with it.
