WTF Medical Marijuana

I totally agree on prescription drugs... I have never had a GP. I have an accident I deal with it myself. Very recently I fell heavily onto my back on the stairs in my house... but after a few seconds of screaming in agony and worrying that I might not be able to walk, I tried... and I could stand. So I knew I was ok, and after smoking a nice spliff the pain subsided a lot. My point is that I don't like doctors or hospitals, and I also don't trust them. Then again, when an emergency arises they do come in handy. My first son was 3 months prem'... now he's starting nursery (kindergarten).

Yes, they have their uses... but telling me whether or not it's ok to smoke cannabis is not one of them.

Of course it shouldn't be for the doctors to decidedBUT if thats the only way for a person to get legalized then why wouldn't someone do it?
Why can't someone have the right to smoke pot as a mm and enjoy it?

There are ALWAYS gonna be people taking advantage of the system. Everytime! That can be seen in any aspect of life because that is human nature BUT to make others feel like they are liars because they want to toke legally seems pointless to me.

Having to get a mm card to legally to able to smoke is 'bullsh*t.' Here in canada you can legally grow marijuana and not even have an mm card.
All you need to permission from someone with an mm card and right now health canada doesn't even have the man-power to do mm growing checks. There are so many ways I could get around growing my own weed but for me this is more out of principle. I'm gonna smoke wether or not I get one but for the protection of my hubby and myself, i prefer to be legit.

I don't need to lie about my situation and also believe in honesty. In fact honesty is a high priority in my life BUT I also feel that if there are others out there that would benefit from a mm card, iI would support them 100%.

I believe my point was missed by most, although I'm sure I remember (as this thread was quite a while ago) a couple of people getting it.

Telling the truth is very important to me, and although I do agree that cannabis does give pain/mental relief... I don't think this should be the entire debate. Has in fact been losing the debate for a number of years, if you take the world as a whole. Canada seem to be winning, and California... but this isn't enough... believe it or not the Netherlands are losing more and more as new stricter regulations come in and the coffee shops are being put out of business. Banks are withdrawing their internet processing services for the sale of seeds... paypal won't even allow the sale of bongs or pipes, even in countries where they are legal. You think we're winning?

Millions of people smoke/consume cannabis for many different reasons and if we are to enter into a new age of truth and honesty, I don't think the medical aspect is where we should concentrate our efforts... I think it should be legal because we want it to be. The complete truth, why settle for half?

Why should it be up to a doctor or the government to tell us what we can do? Are we harming anybody? No. People get less jail time for noncing little kids...

Don't get me started on how fucked-up our little society is... but this is the point.

For me the complete legalisation of cannabis will be the catalyst to an age of truth and honesty. Complete... not some doctor or government official having to tell me its ok. I see an end to mental illness, to criminality. This is what will become from this new age... I want it NOW.

I'm totally with you on this one. I despise doctors and hate going to see them BUT unfortunately I HAVE to. I don't trust them at all. They have far too much power for my comfort level but if thats the avenue I need to take to get legalized then I'll bite the bullet and go see them.

I am presently trying to get my mm card and my GP has me on a wild goose chase. He has sent me to a specialist because he has lost his right to sign my papers but when I asked him to just call a certain person at a 'compassion club,' he wouldn't. I've had this same doctor for about 9 years now and almost begged him to do this one thing for me and he wouldn't. All he talked about was prescribing a nose spray so he can get his percentage because its prescription. (most of them are snakes in my opinion but there are some good ones out there I'm sure)

you know what guys i got in a accident on my harley, and because of that accident i know have epilepsy, so if you dont think it helps people like me or others then do your effin research before you want to get on a site and start talking about things u have no idea about, must b some little punk ass kid that dont know wtf they r talking about, marijuana helps control my siezures if not prolong them, and i have a card that allows me to grow my own medication, get ur facts straight, if not get off this site and go back to ur video games

lemme say first,,I love gettin stoned(truth),,and used to say ,,it cures my pain(lie)I been a roofer now for almost 25 years,,I have had 2 surgeries,,one back and one knee(other knee pending),,from repetetive bending ,overuse,,and plain stubborness(go hard or go home)I have fallen twice in this time,,once 2 stories,,and once 1 story,,the first time I crushed a heel,,and fractured the other,,the second time it was reversed,,I seen alotta T-3's and perks and demorol,,in my time,,but I can't take these things for a lifetime,,I got pain now(truth),,pain I'm sure I'll be with till the end,,back pain ,,slight limp,,constant ankle pains,,things seazing up when cold or wet,,or just total meltdown when I reach home daily,,now,,I see and feel the benefits of MM,,it's come down to,,if I have no pot,,I'm prolly not puttin in a HoLE day of work,,when I get home,,it's pot,dinner tv and sex ,,or no pot the couch and wake me when it's bedtime,,I have no MM card or watever it is,,nor do I know if I could get one,,but now,,I love gettin stoned(truth)and,,I smoke to cure pain(truth),,good thing I can still afford to buy ,,until I perfect my growing,,quality and quantity,,In my opinion MM could do amazing things for people,,as opposed to chewing perks daily till your liver quits

ya know i read what was written and at least there are a few that knows the benifits of mm myself i'm a mm user what i have is bi polar .mood swings.diebetes.arthritis hypertensions and me wife clinical depression hypertension the worse kind.and mm took my wife off prosac cut her bp meds from 3 times a day to once a day.and all the bs is political . the pharmicutical people is crying to big brother and big brother turns there heads to our needs just so the chemical people can wipe there tears away . this is the words of chuck..............you can believe or not..........every fucking thing is politcal long live mm

That sounds very painful. I know of a few roofers and there are several people on this site that have spinal injuries and have mm cards.
If I were you, I would check into it.

Oh you are so right on. I have bi-polar also, pstd and some other stuff and the political bs we go through is rediculous!!!!
Most doctors don't have a clue about it. My last GP gave me the wrong meds for my condition so I was awake for 7 days straight. By the time I went in to see him again he admitted his mistake but also had me admitted into the hospital. WTF!!!

Because the doctors screw up we have to suffer the consequences, 'cause once they admit you, you're screwed.
