Jack's Classic vs Advanced vs Fox Farm Nutes

Before going on shopping spree, I wanted to educate myself on nutrients. I know there is alot of marketing and flat out bullshit when it comes to nutrients. Products that work better than nothing but are highly overpriced and aimed at the wallets of those who know no better. I am pretty confident in Jack's classic (20-20-20) and Jack's Classic Bloom Booster, has anyone here used all 3? Would anyone be willing to post pictures?

***EDIT***
I am not so naive to think that these are the end all nutrients I will ever need. I want to use them as a base nute. I will be growing in soil, probably FF (unless I find a better suggestion) and never plan on using more than 1/4 strength until I am more familiar with nutes. I have experience in soil outdoor, totally organic, just seed, MG soil and clean water. This grow will be an LED grow with 2 40Watt white shop lights and 2 reptile lights for UVB. I am to understand that with LED's less nutes are needed. Politely correct me if I am wrong.

I have no doubt that Jack's Classic works very well! When I started growing I used "Peters" (which is what Jack's Classic used to be called, before they sold out, some years ago). I would highly recommend that anyone using MiracleGro (or any other chemical fertilizer) step up and try Jack's! It has a lot going for it, for a chemical product.

The fact that you, pretty much, have to flush chemical nutes to get a tasty harvest should tell you something about why I switched to "Big Name", organic, brands in the first place. Then on to "mix-your-own" organics.

@THCammo

Thanks for the info. I really didn't want to gt caught up in the FF/AN hype and waste money on new (indoor) grower ignorance. The only other one I will consider is Moon Dust, but I think Jack's is where I am headed due to a lack of information about Moon Dust. I'm sure if I call the company directly, they will gladly tell me why theirs is better.

Stay safe.

You know it my friend :) :clap:

I grew with Peters for almost a decade. But i recently went with Fox Farms due to running DWC Buckets. If I wasnt doing the hydro..Id be buying some Peters/Jacks. My avatar pic was grown from Peters 20-20-20 and the Peters Blossom Booster 10-52-10 Excellant fertilizer!!! :hump:

AN may be good stuff, but its wayyyy too expensive, and recently, I dont like seeing that Big Mike dude crying over his lost sales, and asking the general public to HELP him out so he can continue his luxurious lifestyle....TACKY AS FUCK!!!!! :-|

@Wavels

Your Ak looks much better than mine (of course, my AK-47 only shoots airsoft pellets).

@Wavels and Closet Growth

Great pics. I think I will be using Jack's Classic and JC Bloom Booster to start, I might use them on half the ladies and dyna gro on the other half to see what works best for me as far as base nutes. I really want an LED grow for heat, smell and electric bill reasons. I think I will leave 1 plant unfertilized just to compare. I must ask, do you go 1/4, 1/2 or full strength with the nutes? When do you start adding nutes and how do you make the switch from veg to bloom? Do you just change over or do you gradually reduce the veg and introduce the bloom nutes?

Thanks a million everyone.

Thanks you guys.

Jacks is sooo much cheaper than most of the over hyped "specific" nutes.

I use PromixBX amended with vermiculite, perlite and dolomite lime.
And nothing but Jacks.

Here are some more Jacks girls:

Great thread.

MJ loves N during veg so I tried Jacks for Orchids (30-10-10) in a DWC. Very nice veg results. I have not yet tried Jack's for blooming.

Do you have to supplement Cal/Mag when using Jack's orchid special in DWC? What kind of water do you use? Tap, distilled, r/o?:blsmoke:

I used to use peters 20-20-20 And Peters blossom booster 10-52-10 back in the day, and it ROCKED! My soil plants grew like a mofo!!!

Then Peters sold out to Jack and now Its not in my area. Today, Iam more into hydro..dwc and I use Fox Farms the full line, and I give this company 5 stars. My plants are virtually a dream to grow. So easy using their feeding chart(Gotta use there chart for best results & all additives).

Iam growing 4 soil, and 5 dwc bubbler hydros at the minute for experimental comparison, and will be flowering on Sunday. If any of you would like to see what Fox Farms are made of click on my link below near my signature...

Anyways, You will see lots of photos from beginning to end using Strictly Fox Farm nutes.

Conclusion,..

If Jacks is anything like Peters, I would have to rate that stuff maybe a tad bit higher than Fox Farms.

Chemical nutes will yield slightly higher than organics.. And Fox Farm is mostly organic.

But then again, Im running bubblers...

Im excited to see whats gonna happen when my plants are flowering in

them buckets.. First time for me.

I cant believe Im gonna say this,

But, I miss Peters..Sniff Sniff.. And I believe Jacks Professional is most likely the best Chemical fert. on the market.

Wow, your gonna use Jacks ferts in hydro?? Seriously?

No! I'm a soil guy. I was asking the guy I quoted because he said he was using jacks classic in his DWC. It is a soil nute therefore it doesn't have all the micros that most hydro ferts have. Especially Calcium and Magnesium. It's possible to use soil ferts for hydro but you usually have to supplement micros. :bigjoint:

Hmmmm..I was getting all excited too.. hahaha!

So, you would have to add supplemental micros eh? You sure??

I'm not a hydro grower that's why I was asking. I know you can do hydro with soil ferts but like jacks orchid special, for example, doesn't have mag or calcium on the analysis. If they have little or none of these two elements it would stand to reason that you may need to add these 2 things, right? It's missing a couple of the other micros like Molybdenum I think.
