Nope, I don't buy this either. Obama and his administration are so far to the left they are out of touch with the majority of Americans. That's why we've seen the rise of the TEA Party demonstrations and the demonstrations at the town hall meetings.
What is happening to Obama is the awakening of the Great Unwashed out there in Middle America. We see what he's trying to do and we are raising hell about it. America is not, nor is it going to be, a European socialist state. Because of the uprising, other's in Obama's party are running scared because they know what's coming in November of 2010. Look, the Democrats have/had a super majority in both houses and the executive. There is NOTHING they couldn't have passed if they had the political will to do so. So blaming the Republicans or lobbyists is a mistake. Blame the spineless politicians the Democrat base put into office.
Now then, with all of that said, how about listing Obama's accomplishments as a senator and as president? Getting elected doesn't count.

I think this thread started out as 'Obama vs. the people'. Well, when he originally proposed universal health care, around 2/3 Americans supported a government run option. I am too high right now to cite sources, but I saw IS quote other poll numbers in other recent threads, so surely he knew this fact before posting.
