I have grown the Doc's cindy and can say that its the real deal bros grimm line. AAA+ smoke, no doubt.That being said, I DO think they are ridiculously overpriced. I don't care how unique you think a strain is, NO STRAIN is worth the price he is asking. None. For that reason, I dont buy them. To me, its as bad as the people selling $60 dollar 8ths. Sure, its awesome smoke, but its still overpriced. Gouging people aint cool, regardless. Especially when its peoples medicine. Plus, in Cali, elite cuts are all over the friggin place.
As for the doc giving away free beans...It shows that they are looking for free advertising. Believe me, seed companies giving away free seeds is not unheard of. Subcool has given away THOUSANDS of seeds. As have Sannie, Cali connection, Highgrade, esko, the list goes on and on. Thats what makes them so freakin awesome.
I love the genetics, and will grow them again but not until they become a little more reasonable on pricing.
Until then, Sannie, TGA, DNA, HighGrade, Cali, etc will get my business (and space in my grow log)

That's fair enough I can see where your coming from but to other people around the world who can't get top quality clones locally this could be the best place to get seeds. I don't think the prices are outrageous but definately a little steep. The biggest thing is trust can you trust him and I think the obvious answer is yes. Your getting the real deal and to some people including myself I am willing to spend that kind of money even more on seeds if I can know with some certainty that the product is going to be of high caliber. Look at places like bcseeds who make outrageous claims and can't back it up while the doc can deliver on his claims. Also DJ short and to some extent sensi seeds all have loyal customers who are willing to spend it on seeds. Plus one clone can produce an unlimited amount of ganga so it's not like your money can't be stretched or your forced to buy beans every harvest or something.
And yes they are looking for advertisement and I don't see anything wrong with that it doesn't cheapen his product in any way. this is my first experience with him so I haven't grown anything fromn him yet so don't think I'm saying his strains aqre the best or anything I'm just going off what I've heard.

have any of you guys ever done any breeding? it's no simple task. it takes hundreds of hours and is very time consuming. anyone can make beans. but to do it correctly and make things uniform is a lot of work. you don't just pollenate a female with some pollen and harvest thousands of beans to sell. if you don't like the prices, grow some bag seed bunk.
I have grown a lot of docs gear and have never had a bad experience. I have paid way more for seeds and gotten way less thats for sure. There is nothing more expensive than growing for 4 months and ending up with something that doesn't make you happy. Everything I got from them was as advertised and for me worth every penny

I will be starting a journal for 747 I was going to get the dope but he asked me if I was willing to do a journal on 747 so I said yes and will be starting these with in the next month.

Thats funny when a reputable breeder from cali with d n a wrote and admitted that the docs s 1s are for real and I know that he has those true genetics because I have grown them out with better results than you im sure could imagine.So if you dont believe just spend the money and see till then you are the one thats funny lol lol lol lol

And yes more for us have you tried the iranian g13 it is super potent and finishes outdoors by sept 1 and yeilds 4 to 8 ounces a piece. i HAVENT SEEN ANY BETTER BREEDER AND I HAVE TRIED GREENHOUSE D N A PARADISE ALL THOSE MILLION DOLLAR COMPANYS AND i get better results from the doc.HE GETS MY VOTE

As for why I buy beans when I have access to so many cuttings...in case you have yet to figure things out, Male cuttings don't really exist.
I am not knocking the Docs strains, I said in my previous post that he has the real deal. But he overcharges...No beans on earth are worth more than $10 per bean.
In closing, I just want to address one other thing. Unless you are in Cali, you really have no idea what your talking about in regards to what is available here. As for your comment about "cheap cali beans" you obviously are just trolling because I never said where my beans come from. Most, in fact, 90% come from the Netherlands. Which is NOT in Cali.

and not to get on a tangent on DNA, but if you're referring to reserve privada, they're thoughts stopped holding weight when they decided to push out high hermie rate seeds just to make a profit.

i agree that you don't always get what you pay for, look at bcseeds or even doggies nuts, and i don't think that seeds should ever go over a certain price ever, but i don't think that $20 a bean is that much.. you ever look at soma's diesel? they are definitely not cheap.. look on the attitudes site, in the pick and mix section, and you will see a lot of beans that cost around $20 apiece, so i don't see why people are knoocking the drs prices.. and after all, its only his elite strains that go for two bills apiece... all of his other gear goes for $100 per 11 seeds, not pricey at all.. and i know that i paid about $160 for th seeds mk ultra, and although the smoke was bomb, the yeilds were rather low..
i will just finish by saying that there will surely be enough journals on this site on the docs strains to either make us look like we were idiots, or that we are right.. only time will tell..

those who think any seedbanks prices are overpriced, dont buy them.There is no reason to bitch about it.Imo docs seeds are reasonably priced especially after you can harvest a couple of pounds off one "high priced" bean ,if you know what ur doing.Now doc knows growers are getting rich off a ten pack so your bitching is meaningless to him or anyone else that has grown his genetics.I personaly wish I was the only one growing his strains, I would then gladly pay twice what he charges me now

well said punk.. i was even gonna mention cali connection in my earlier post as i paid two hundred bucks for a pack of their sour og and another one fifty for a pack of the larry og, and i thought it was a great deal.. i don't get bitching about prices unless its really outrageious like some of the bcseheds gear or maybe even the doggies nuts.. but to me, two hundred is not over priced, and like you said, by what i will harvest off of those ten seeds, i will more than make my money back ten fold..
