Leaf color and drooping - whats wrong?

Well I switched my plants from fluoro tubes to 600 watt MH. I think the drooping may be due to all the increased foliage that is branching from the node-sites. Has this ever happened to anyone?

I have been watering until the pots drip out the bottom every 4-5 days and spraying the leaves with RO water.

Also, my main concern - what is this picture a sign of?

For nutes I am using the foxfarms soil trio and using an organic soil mix that doesn't dry out as fast as I would really want.

I would discontinue the spraying, and keep the light distance further away...

Spraying your plants under a 600watt bulb is a big no-no.. will burn the leaves.

Only water when the container feels light.

...the edges of your leaves truning yellow is a typical sign of cal./mag. dif.....if your tips are burnt also, you may have overfertilized.... what's your pH like?

It gets well over 100 here in the summer. I've watered in the midday sun and never seen any sign of burning. The water will evaporate before it can burn.

...it's not a myth my friend, it's a fact....if you spray/mist your leaves (NOT WATER YOUR SOIL) ...you will, in fact, without a doubt, burn your leaves. HOWEVER, the pic he showed with the yellowing on the edges of his leaves is a cal./mag. issue I believe, or ...he may have overfertilized if hes also seeing burnt tips.

if you spray your leaves the drops act like mag glassess on the leaves under the 600 watt for sure. I see some meseed up green issues like green veins that is cal mag and some def nute burn that is the burnt leaf edges. I would check yer ph to have all that go wrong at once. Also it might be overwater as it presents like that too and leaves droop. Wait until it is light, and dry 2 inchs down.

...your daddy's veg garden outside, and cannabis grown indoors under artificial lights are 2 different worlds .

i see probs dude under a 600 watt hps when i spray. I dont do it because of that. Indoors in very diferent from outdoors.

...I'd never attempt that for I have no reason to prove you wrong. On the other hand, YOU put a marijuana plant under a 600 watt HPS and spray the leaves you WILL get burn spots. I'm done. Go try it, ask around....your arguement has no strength with me, you obviously do not grow indoors.

...and you won't see "BAM" burn marks instantly... overtime, your plants will look like shit.

and the droopy leaves could be from overwatering and drowning the roots, remember they need pockets of dryness so they can access oxygen in the medium. try adjusting your watering techniques and be sure to add cal/mg to your water if it has a low ppm from the tap.

I do grow indoors but I see no reason to spray anyway.

The leaf color could be from spraying the plants but im gonna say that it's a combination of that and nute burn. when the edges of your leaves turn yellow or brown thats a sign of nute burn, and when you have brown spots thats most likely from spraying them. try lowering the concentration of the nutes when you feed the plants... this should help.

As for the drooping, thats almost definitely over-watering. when you give a plant too much water it will get soggy and kind of hang down like your plants are doing. try watering once a week. good luck

The spots are from a nute problem plus you are overwatering. You dont want to turn the soil into soggy mud when you water. The only problem misting is likely to create is too much humidity. If water could burn leaves farmers would not water in very hot sun, but they do. The sun is far hotter and more intense than any indoor light.

yo voodoo y dont you do some research before you start giving advice. look it up misting will cause spots... the only thing nute burn will do is turn the edges brown or yellow. and sure the sun is way more intense than a grow light but its also a hell of allot farther away... I think that a less intense light can do more than a more intense light if the less intense one is closer.

Also i'm pretty sure that farmers get spots also... farmers spray the crops because its cheaper than running a fuckin line through the whole field to just water the roots. a few spots wont kill your plant so farmers aren't worried about a few spots on the plants when they have thousands of them.

So tell me how that's bullshit?

What should I add for my cal/mag issues? I use RO water which has a PH in the 5.7 range, I add full strength nutes and alternate my waterings so every second watering is fresh water. This will change when i go into flower but I just thought I should sorta flush out my roots after noticing some leaf problems.

I dont have a device to test the ph of my soil but I cant see it being out of whack due to my watering schedule. I will stop misting the plants, I was just used to doing this under my fluoros to keep the humidity up around 50%. If I dont mist I find I am often in the low 40s but I don't want to invest in a humidifier if I dont have to
