Hanging MH light help please. (never had one before)

I was wondering if anyone with a MH light could help me out.
I currently have some plants that are only about a month old now and are looking good and healthy under flurorescent lights with grow lux bulbs in 50% of them.

I have double fluorescents side by side but now need to hang up a new sun system metal halide light. Its only 100 watts but I do not want to hang it as long as my fluorescents. How high do you suggest I hang this. I have all the equipment out and am ready to do it NOW.

HAHAHAHHAHA MVG your a funny motherfucker, good stuff. i liked that. rep for you! anyways Lacy set that 250 12-16 inches above if u have good temps and vent. more if temps are getting to high. i have a string with a bottle cap at the end of my 250 that is exactly 12 inches from the bulb so i know where the light needs to be. i hooked up my 250 mh in the middle of my 2 600 hps's today. the plants in the middle looked like the need a boost. the blue spectrum and the extra 250 watts should boost em. good luck!

its all about the heat...leave it on for a while and hang it high and if it gets hot then keep it far from them, if its not that hot then u can put them close
